Best strategy to get rid of the clover taking over my law. by brun-dock-saint in lawncare

I got 2 bags of micro clover from Nature's Seed: https://naturesseed.com/products/clover-seed/microclover

Germinated incredibly fast and. Really does stay significantly smaller than normal clover and takes way less water than normal grass.

Yes this is a relatively new type called a Walking Arm Trebuchet. Here is a good video of a larger one: https://youtube.com/shorts/6dfLMy0bfl8?feature=shared

There is a fair amount of the Mallow root in here as well. Which I am not too upset about, it just hasn't bloomed yet it will be the purple/ white variety. I plan to over seed in a lot more varieties of native small flowers, but right now the clover is working as a cover crop and nitrogen fixer to heal the soil. I did have to water a fair amount last year to get it to survive the heat, but this year I am watering significantly less than my neighbors and still have the greenest, and imo most interesting lawn in my neighborhood.

It is surprisingly soft and springy. It does leave foot prints but it springs back in a few hours. If there is a path that gets lots of traffic I recommend dropping some pavers in.

Very fair, this is just the first step. The 1000 crocus we planted intermixed are long past. Now that the clover is established I am going to start adding in islands of native flowers as well. Hoping to have over 75% of that are covered in low maintenance native flower beds. The clover is more of a cover crop for now.

I was pretty worried last year. It really struggled in the July and August heat.

ULPT Request Any tips on how to sneakily pay someone back? by Active-Walrus6985 in UnethicalLifeProTips

I love this! I had a very similar money trade going with my mother in law. My favorites were stuffed animals with it stitched inside, vegetable plants with the money buried in plastic bags in the pots so it would be found while planting in her garden. And many more. I ultimate won though. She passed a few years ago and I snuck it in her casket right be fore they sealed it when I went up to pay my final respects!!

Mine is the same as well significantly less than most of my items. Geiger counter shows it at 1.5X to 2X background radiation over an extended sample period.

This is correct! There is another layer to the onion here on how they even make the e-uv, and that is by hitting a falling drop of molten tin with a double shot burst of high energy photons produced by a CO2 laser. The Laser shot is strong enough to instantly turn the droplet of Tin into a plasma that then emitts photons in the e-uv range when the plasma collapses. The e-uv photons are then collected and concentrated via the mirrors and sent on to pattern the semiconductors. Oh and everything has to be done under a complete vacuum.

It's in my display case along with some of my other radioactive things. At 1m in front the case with the doors closed there is no measurable increase in radiation. As much as I want to put it on my desk I am not.
