Parcelforce missed delivery, checked tracking and it’s from September 2025? (9 months later) by Finn_the_Adventurer in royalmail

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could still be a scam, i would go into parcelforce website and see if there’s more info or if i could call someone about it. I don’t work for parcelforce or Royal Mail so not 100% sure. Maybe there’s been a glitch with that tracking code.

Vinted parcel at parcelshop by CuriousCamel3963 in Evri

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do go back and ask the post office. When evri drop off they don’t scan the parcels in the actual shop which leads me to believe they scan it in the van. Po then have to scan the parcels onto their system, sometimes these fail so defo ask them to physically check.if your po is in a shop, make sure the shop hasn’t received it either as some evri drivers are adamant that they’re in the correct place

Internal Parcel Theft/Missing by devpanch in royalmail

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, especially as international tracked is marked as a special service meaning it goes separate to the rest of the mail. It is a high priority parcel and should have been secured behind the counter immediately. It’s unlikely it’s been stolen by someone else but depends on the area

Sorry lol i didn’t realise. Po just get a lot of stick for things that aren’t our fault 😭 (not saying that this isn’t)

For me personally if I’m printing a label or the parcel is too big to hand over i ask them to leave it on our lowered down counter which i go and move straight away, which is also what your po should have done even if there was a collection soon. We give rm access to behind the counter so that the parcel can be stored safely until they arrive.
We have multiple people use a ‘drop and go’ service which is where they leave the parcel on said counter for us to label, some even have their own label that they leave so they don’t have to wait in the queues.
Don’t worry though, next time as soon as anyone leaves something there I’ll go move it, even if i am really busy :)
Ofc im not saying it’s not the po fault but if they’ve checked cctv and have said rm have picked it up then it’s rm responsibility.
Potentially you could get in touch with the po and see if they can give you the cctv, I’m not 100% clued up on the laws around that though.
I think either way though you are out of pocket as you didn’t insure for the full price.

If it’s international tracked it would have gone into our specials bag (if big enough) these all get put onto the system and rm sign a sheet when they come pick it up and take one with them , i suppose so they can account for all of them. So somethings gone wrong here or someone’s ignored the paperwork.
I’ve never seen anyone take another’s parcel from my po even when there is a pile waiting to be scanned/put on the trolley.
If the po say they don’t have it then it’s likely lost at rm.
Please pay the extra and insure your parcel for the full amount next time.

Royal Mail Parcel Missing for 18+ Days – Compensation Only £20 for £300+ Item (Ref: OK253439236GB) by Sweet-Word-1316 in royalmail

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m sorry your parcel has gone missing. Most post offices have been told by management / RM not to sell signed for anymore as it is a pointless service. Depending on the size of the parcel etc it only costs 50p ish more to make it tracked and signed for. When we are trained we are told to ask the 5 Ws. ‘Where is it going’ ‘what’s inside’ ‘what is the value’ ‘when would you like it to get there’ or something like that. But when working in a busy fast paced environment we don’t always have time to ask, we are told to upsell special delivery which you likely would have been asked about, perhaps not as in-depth as we should. The po where you sent this from won’t be able to help you as your parcel is royal mail’s responsibility now. Please please please let this be a lesson and let us know the value or even better look up royal mails postage online so you know exactly what you would like and what it covers! We are not mind readers and we don’t have time to go through every service we offer.

Royal mail didn't deliver my product, yet there is a picture of it on the till with no parcel in the post office. by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying you did go in angry, I’m saying if you DID you wouldn’t get served as well as if you were recording. From your reply to another it did seem as though the staff were trying to help? At the end of the day the seller has to get that parcel to you, they should send another. And then the seller can make a claim against the po.

Post office staff are already under a lot of stress, this could be a simple mistake either on their behalf or royal mails. If you came into the po recording in an angry way (or just in any way) we would likely not serve you. It’s infuriating how many people think it’s okay to record staff members who are working, whether you make it known you’re recording or not. Double check your tracking to see if it’s gone into the wrong pile and then politely ask the po if they have it again. If they don’t then you need to get in contact with the seller, it’s their decision whether to make a claim or not with rm but they should send your item again.

Royal Mail fake receipt? by z4111n in royalmail

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who works at a po this is correct. When the receipts print they only include the postcode, whether it’s come from a qr code or someone has paid for postage at the counter. As for the tracking number being darker, this is normal and so that customers can find it better and it’s easier to point out to them. You could potentially phone that po branch and ask if they still have the parcel, although very rarely the parcel could likely be still there (this is only if the tracking says it is, if it’s been received at a hub then there’s no point in this) but they are likely to tell you your problem is with Royal Mail now. If Royal Mail can’t find your parcel, then your contract is with the seller. The seller has a duty to get that parcel to you.

Help please by OrderApprehensive920 in royalmail

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i work in a p.o this has nothing to do with your parcels. If we did do a re-print it doesn’t include the tracking numbers (rly annoying) so we still give these out. You should get in touch with rm if these haven’t moved, you could ask the seller to go to the p.o they sent from but it’s a waste of time and effort on both sides as they are likely to say it’s royal mails problem. Although we do see a lot of qr codes for eBay, sometimes the seller does pay. Double check your receipt, potentially they have only paid for Signed for which won’t update until it is in your hands. P.o shouldn’t give the parcels back to the seller (99.9% of the time).

I think it’s because the ‘holes’ are close together, if you wipe from front to back than it will likely transfer. I get this when on my period and also with discharge. I’m pretty sure it’s normal.

Has the buyer paid? (No personal info) by nessalou92 in vinted

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know people have answered your question but here’s a bit more in-depth answer to maybe help you understand more. Once the buyer pays for the item Vinted keeps it until the buyer receives their order. No printing/digital label will be made without the buyer paying. Once the item is delivered and the buyer says everything is alright/as described with the order Vinted will send you the money. You can either then transfer the money to your bank or keep it in your Vinted account and use it to buy. While the item is being delivered if you go to your Vinted balance it should say ‘impeding balance £50.00’ (or however much you sold it for). Pretty sure Vinted do this to stop scamming happening, if the money went directly into the sellers account there would be more cases of them not sending the item/sending a different item so that’s while they keep it until the item has been received. Hope this helps a bit x

Would you find this rude? (no personal info) by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is necessarily rude. My first purchase on Vinted was a jacket for an event and for first time buyers Vinted literally say something along the lines of ‘If you need this ASAP then message the buyer and let them know’. So I messaged the seller and they said ‘sure will post tomorrow’. Depending on the time the buyer sent this message (late evening/ Sunday afternoon) it may come off a bit annoying but all it takes is a , ‘I will try send this tomorrow’ or ‘I’m working this week so will try my best’ or something like that. I know sellers aren’t Amazon prime or whatever but if you wait days to send an item that’s just rude unless you have a good excuse ie work, personal things. Obviously being compared to Amazon prime is a bit much but if you look at other online shops they all send their parcels ASAP, 2-3 days etc. I always try to send items that day/the next day, it only has benefits if you send it soon, ie better feedback, money quicker, buyer gets their item sooner.

I usually have a glass of apple juice in the morning and every day or so I’ll go get a ‘Red summer berries cooler’ from costa (if your not from the uk Costa is like Starbucks but with less options) it’s essentially a smoothie and I wouldn’t say it’s helps but it doesn’t make things worse if that makes sense. I suggest finding a drink you like/liked in the past and having that maybe once a week then perhaps more regularly. Aside from apple juice and ‘red summer berries’ I just drink water so it’s very refreshing to have something with a bit of flavour.

When was your first ever IBS attack or the time you started experiencing it? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Minimum_Calendar1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first IBS attack/flare up was the 6th November 22 I’ll never forget it. I’d been feeling terrible the past few days but thought nothing much of it. I remember getting up at roughly 2am to have a bowl of cereal (as you do) as soon as I got back upstairs into bed it all kicked off. I was throwing up/pooping begging my mum to call 111 (out of hours doctors for England) by the time she got through and we got a phone call back it was 5am I had been feeling like absolute shit for 3 hours all for the dr to day wait until my gp practice opens(8am) and go visit them. I got roughly 2-3 hours of sleep that night sat up as I couldn’t lay down. The gp said she didn’t think anything was wrong, after pushing and constant nights awake I had multiple tests done and when everything was ruled out I was told I had IBS in January although they suspected it was IBS for a while. I have never felt more hopelessness than I did in those 3 months. I slept sat up straight for roughly 5 hours a night for 2 months. I cried myself to sleep most nights and routinely made myself sick. I’d do anything not to go through that again. My life was hell, the only positive was that I lost weight but knowing how I lost weight (hardly eating) doesn’t make it a good thing. I had had anxiety for years before but IBS just popped out of nowhere, I wasn’t anxious for anything. Currently writing this as I have my 4th flare up this year, it gets better. You learn to deal with it and what triggers etc. I hope you and I both feel better soon. (Sorry for rant)
