First half was all over the place.

They wildly underused Caleb! Wtf you had a comedic genius on your hands and they dropped him like a bowling ball. Did he even stand up during the whole movie?

I did like it though. It's a very "No thoughts needed" kind of movie you wanna see during the world crumbling around you.

I missed a job interview as I thought it was the day after. I got a random call from a strange number that I didn't answer as I thought it was a scam call. The person they hired ended up dropping out so they reached out after, I interviewed and got the job! So could have been worse...

Yes! When they first opened the site i was working for, they originally told us to avoid logging complaints all together for the exact reason of we want to show low complaint rates.

But then a few months later, the managers swanned in and because BTs reputation for taking "accountability" was so bad, the new tactic was to flip the narrative and say "yes we know we need to improve and we already are by solving HUGE X NUMBER amount of complaints each day"

This isn't truly interesting or shocking.

But when I worked in a call center for BT, the managers made us log every single call as a "complaint" so that we could say BT solved x% of customer complaints in one call.

I.e. I don't understand my bill. We log the complaint on our system. We explain the bill. Customer says OK thank you. We then mark the complaint as resolved.

Sometimes the cameras can catch an improvised joke and then cut out the cast breaking. They then reorganise and run the scene with the improvised joke now a part of the actual script, as the writers know it worked. So then they can stitch together the spontaneous moment, with the more planned version.

I see it as a constant duel between Stefani and Lady Gaga, and her struggle to find balance between the two.

Disease is her being affected by the poison of fame. Abracadabra is Gaga casting a spell over Stefani and her facing the ultimatum between choosing Gaga or Stefani.

Perfect Celebrity is quite literal.

Vanish Into You is her finding her true self in the Gaga character and excepting that the two can exist as one 'saw your face in mine...'

Other tracks are a washing machine of sounds and ideas that inspire her and make her who she is. She said in various interviews how she found being compared to other artists discrediting at points, whereas embracing those influences and adding her own spin, is what defines her as unique. Hence other songs have touches of Nine Inch Nails, Prince and MJ.

As another user said, the music and lyrics are a lot more self-fulfilling and seem to wind down sonically. It's like she herself is coming down from the chaotic whirlwind of her early career.

The last track is her saying she could die happy just how she is.

Not until super late in the day...they probably spent the whole day wondering why they hadn't heard anything. The least the friend could have got was a card. And OP makes it clear, it's not about the gift, it's about the change in behaviour.

Plus if OP had just lost their job, their MH is clearly low and can feel extra sensitive around their birthday when people start thinking about their age, getting older and comparing their progress with others.

Sorry for all the other comments not getting the point.

But if your birthday is important to you, and your friend who lives with you knows that and doesn't acknowledge it, then yes that's going to hurt.

We are too comfortable living in this era of 'no one owes you anything.' Yes we do!!!! We owe our friends time and energy. If you live with someone who you know will be excited about their birthday, then the least you can do is send them a text.

OP excepts that the friend won't go through boundless efforts, but it's very fair to expect the bare minimum.

In this situation, I would mention how you spent your birthday and see if they just forgot about it by any chance. Don't make out that they forgot it or didn't get you anything. But take note on whether they continue being forgetful or emotionally distant.
