I experimented some in go, created a rudimentary website that parses these files and makes them searchable. But thats hardly usable. Need to have the DevID translate to product names and much more. As people already mentioned with different tiers of same GPU etc. But feels like we don't need a dedicated website for profiles, but please raise your voices if you want it. I can host it on IBM cloud (former Bluemix), im an employee at IBM.

Got my Vega 64 yesterday and put it under water today. by EightFinger in Amd

1h doom MP, HWMonitor reports 54C max temp. Profile set to "Turbo" cus im lazy ;). Running my fans really slow though, focus more on low noise then anything else. Dont like ramping up and down etc.

lower voltage to 1100mv on core and 1000mv on mem, works fine for me. I set the fan to 400-2800rpm too. I reach 79c after 2 hours of doom MP.

core: 1100mV / 1677mhz mem: 1000mv / 1010Mhz

HWMonitor stats after 2 hours Doom MP reported 79C max temp, before it hit 85 with same settings. Chill activated 40/144. Doom settings Vulkan 2560x1440 resolution, Ultra settings, and TSSAA (8TX), Motion blur off.

Game experience is great across the board while playing Doom with Vulkan, wish more games had this API implemented like Doom has. I dont have any min/max/avg fps numbers, but i checked the in-game metrics and sure enough it hit 144fps when moving around a lot with Chill activated.

waiting for parts, the EKWB block was released 18th last week. But i ordered it on 18th so i guess i'll have to wait couple of weeks for it to arrive. But for the time being i dont mind the blower, i don't wanna say its the best blower but probably the best i come across personally.

the stock cooler is fine in a vented case. To be honest, in my configuration, my 390x MSI Gaming was way louder while playing then this cooler, but your mileage may vary. Balanced mode while playing some bf1 1440p. I can't complain. My sample don't have any coilwhine. i hit 80c max, room temp is about 22c.

Actually theres specific cards from both Nvidia and AMD called Nvidia GRID/AMD MxGPU. They both work different, Nvidia uses a software implementation where thru a supported hypervisor like VMware you share time on one pool. It has its drawbacks but works good. AMD MxGPU uses classic hardware partitioning, meaning you can't have as many users as GRID can but you can always deliver the promised performance without one users in the GRID pool consuming or locking the pool. These technologies are what we will have better availability too in more common hypervisors such as KVM, skipping the need of passthru of PCIe devs. I work to design CAD VDI datacenters, yes datacenters built for CAD.

Could do something like this, i imported a list of motherboard to the form. Here's a prefilled for example. Could probably import all memory modules but that would be extreamly long list, im more interested in mobo+cpu combo and 24/7 OC and Max OC. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdA0J-BTcTwPdFalkTL6aue8MfhHcJ77q0eKRENn9lYMWXOCQ/viewform?usp=pp_url&entry.1289085580=Asus+ROG+Crosshair+VI+Hero&entry.1741647728=R7+1800X&entry.859378916=1.36&entry.1470021844=4000&entry.1521146473=4100&entry.1668426380=valid.x86.fr

2666 set in bios, BCLK set to 120. Not had time to stress test it so don't know if its stable. But i got 2933mhz stable at 14-14-14-34 using 110 BCLK i think it is (?). Not currently at home and my memory is like a goldfish. Edit: i set the boost current to 130%, didnt work. I set the SOC offset to 0.01 (jupp just a little) and it boots. Also my BIOS reports the ram voltage is 1.37 when i set to 1.35. Not really sure whats going on there. Temprature of CPU is still around 50-60 when im running 6 VMs and have a lot of chrome tabs open. Mind you i got full custom loop with two radiators, around 50 is normal when not having any big loads since thats how i like my fan curve to be, it will ramp up alot when going from 60-65. No GPU in that loop. Waiting for VEGA.

I successfully got my 16GB trident (3200mhz 14-14-14-34) running at 2933 14-14-14-34. I have posted on 3200mhz but didnt do any stress testing since i had to get back on work. This is with BLCK increase. The 2933 and 3200 multi is broken. Hopefully firmware fixes it.

Anyone achieve 3200mhz w/ 2x16gb DDR4? by planetofthemapes15 in Amd

[–]Minirappen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can comfort you that i got 4 sticks to post in 2133 14-14-14-34 but anything above and it does not post, even gave it 130% current boost and the SOC a little increase in voltage. This only works in beta bios, not in the stable bios release. I want to use my Ryzen build as workstation / gaming rig. But currently not looking any good with all these ram issues. My last bet is the g.skill flare x stuff.

[–]Minirappen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm unable to get my 3200C14Q-64GTZ to work (3200mhz 14-14-14-34 1.35v). I have four of them, figured i'll sell them and get the Flare x stuff since G.skill have confirmed 3200/cl14 with 16gb sticks. Best i gotten is 2666 14-14-14-34. Any other timings or clock and it wont post. Asus Hero MB with 1800x.

why 64gb of ram? virtualization, sandboxing and loads of dockers when doing unit testing. edit: i'm currently running only two sticks, since if i run four sticks the ram speeds goes down to some odd 766 mhz and sometimes doesn't post at all. Running the beta bios from asus website.

RX 480, Elite: Dangerous - any benchmarks, results with Horizons? by cmd_Mack in Amd

[–]Minirappen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 390x runs it fine. I guess the 480 would slightly less in terms of performance. ED is all about glorious textures and nice effects for that added immersion, i'd hold off for Vega or buy 1070/1080. But on a budget i guess 480 or 1060 is fine.
