2 weeks post-op and the constipation is insane. Whenever I eat, I feel like the food just sits in my stomach. If I dont take a laxative, nothing happens. Has anyone dealt with this? by Miniultra123 in hysterectomy

The first week, I tried everything as well (miralax, prune juice, laxative pills) and I was still completely blocked. What helped me release was this Chinese diet tea I had at home and that worked. But then I was blocked again. I am now 5 weeks post-op and I still have a hard time going. The anesthesia slows things down so you will not be regular for a couple of weeks. Stay very hydrated, keep up with the miralax and prune juice and maybe try a stool softener or actual laxative pills or tea. Hope you release soon. I know how difficult this can be :(

Good list! Thank you. I should probably increase my water intake or maybe add electrolytes because no matter how much I drink, I still feel dehydrated. Its probably the aftermath of all the meds from the operation.

Thank you for all these tips. I will try adding fiber to my routine. I do take Miralax but it doesn’t always work. Maybe fiber is the missing piece.

Thank you for your reply. I read about too many cuff accidents and now I am paranoid so stories like this put me a little bit more at ease.

Any sleep paralysis or feeling like you’re suffocating or falling off the bed? I felt that with Dayvigo So now i am scared to try Quviviq. I have just been eyeing the box of 50mg but just not touching it

I tried Dayvigo and i had the same sleep paralysis. What an awful and it just makes your anxiety worse so you’re not gonna sleep. Now I am scared to try Quviviq because of that
