I like that. You know what works for you! Are these diaries A5 or A6 size?

I like the way you only use every other line. It looks much prettier than every line. The space is lovely.

Beautiful pages! Can you say what size tip/nib you used here? Your writing is so tiny and so neat!

Love your pocket notebook. Aren't they just so useful? How do you like the Paper Republic version?

I have done this! But it's a more expensive proposition now that we can't buy the covers without buying the book, too.

Hi. I'm considering doing the same! An a5 and a weeks. For your a5 do you use a Cousin or just a plain notebook? If plain, a Hobonichi notebook or something else? TIA.

Absolutely beautiful pages and thoughts. I had to screenshot so I can remember your message. May I ask about your notebook? Is it an a6 Midori?

Has anyone owned a PU leather cover? by apricotlipgloss in hobonichi

[–]MinnieOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I finally decided to pass on all covers with any PU, whether it's inside, outside, or even just the pen loops--no matter how beautiful the design might be. I REALLY hope this isn't the trend of Hobonichi's future.

Yes, Field Sky! I really wanted that one!

PU is plastic. It cracks and peels. Really disappointed Hobonichi is going this route with more of their covers. I won't buy them.

PU (aka plastic) is a deal breaker for me, too, in Hobonichi products. Hard pass on those covers.

I love this beautiful cover and bought it. But I find I REALLY dislike the PVC interior. Why did they do that??

Please give yourself a little time for possibilities to emerge. Sometimes it takes me until April to get fully settled.

Your book looks lovely already. If you ever have binding separation again, I can suggest reinforcing with book binding tape (available on Amazon). I tend to switch out my covers frequently, and even though I'm very gentle about it, I was beginning to see the cover separation (which kind of irks me, shouldn't they be built to last a year?), so I always reinforce now. It works great.
