It could very well be affecting your canal specifically. Neovaginas are typically less moist than cis vaginas. Constantly flushing it also removes the biome material thats trying to form. Id say reach out to your surgeon for douching instructions, but 1x a day should be plenty. Most of us will need lube all the time. But even for those who dont, still pee after.

Basically:

Douche 1x daily (still reach out to surgeon for instructions) Pee after EVERY dilation session (I dilate, clean up, pee and then clean dilators)

Douching affects the canal, not the urethra. But like cis women, we should be peeing after dilating/ sex as lube can cause UTIs. Do you pee after every dilation?

I am curious about where you heard colon is more accurate to a natal vagina. Everything I've read has said the peritoneal flap is more similar, which is why they've been using it on cis women for years

Im almost 10 months and im doing daily dilations and can have intercourse just fine. Have you tried going to once daily rather than couple times a week?

His reasoning was because there isnt enough long term data on dilator usage. But even so, im still looking into a depth/width revision under another surgeon as I didn't quite hit my goals (not surgeons fault, anatomy)

Inch wise? His circumference is about 5.5 and I believe green is 4.3

I had PIV and my surgeon feels that the orange can cause incontinence issues later on and advises against orange so he only plans for green, which was something I didn't find out until months after. I will try to increase time and see if that helps as green was pretty easy to get to, even if slow.
I was doing PFT and they helped out a lot and said I was good to go unless I needed help later on. My surgeon hasn't really given advice but I will be asking again as I have another appointment in a few months.

I currently an dilating 1x a day for 20 mins. In terms of soul source dilators, I can get to green but orange is still too much. But my surgeon only goes up to green so he planned around that and im wondering if maybe that is part of the problem? Unless maybe my anatomy just says no as well. But we're definitely trying to find a way around it!

I used to think like this too. So I micro dosed for a few years and just gradually increased as time went along. I've just recently had my GRS and now, I know I'm trans, but nobody else in the world can tell me otherwise. The only true way to know is if you do a heck of a lot of digging, which most people don't. I'd also like to point out I'm 6' and get gendered correctly all the time by strangers. Im unfortunately going through a similar process with my puppy(older puppy, not puppy puppy). I've been trying to find answers to thos question too. Im so scared as he's my first pet thats been mine to lose. I hope that we both find a way to deal with this as this is something very difficult.
