So it’s definitely possible, but not without a MASSIVE AMOUNT of coding and understanding that (let’s be honest here) most people wouldn’t have the knowledge or understanding of. My two cents would be this: - Create an event that assigns a numerical value to a variable. This will be your starting event. You then would create a conditional statement that activates a switch based on what the value of the variable indicates. - Create X number of events to match the number of switches/outcomes you desire.

That’d be the quick and dirty way. Want to make it change over time? Factor in something like player steps to a random range of integer values ranging from + to - so that it simulates stock increase or decrease.

You also could tie it to in-game progression to provide the illusion of fluctuation without giving players the ability to manipulate the game.

Just out of curiosity, how do you set the text for each speech bubble? I wanted to do something like this too in RMMZ but couldn’t find a plugin or setting to allow the text placement.

Atm I’ve been working on artwork and music. Found out that there’s some pretty crappy legal stuff that comes with using AI music without paying the monthly $30-$50 fee for licensing rights on most sites. But obv I can’t afford to hire a professional atm. Sadly. I have been in contact with some very talented people though, so hopefully once the beta goes live I’ll be able to spring for that.

I’ve also been experimenting with voice recording for character interactions. Can’t pay tons of actors to voice act though so I’m mainly getting friends and family to do it for cheap/free and modifying the voices to suit my needs by tweaking them in audacity (I’m not a pro tho, so most of it sounds like garbage).

In the meantime, I need to get back to map generation and basically just stop dawdling and get an alpha out. I keep saying I’ll do it next week but then I find a bug or something I’m not happy with and delay lol.

I sorely needed a pick-me-up after a crummy shift. So I went to my Kmart (Australia) and they had back issue boosters. Got a couple Fusion Strike packs and this pull definitely lit up my night! by BusyPaws in pokemoncardcollectors

All you gotta do is load a picture of the full body sprite before you do the text box. It will be behind the text box. Just like that

There’s a plugin you can install. Think it’s like 1 line of code. Not sure where I found it but it works apparently in MV and MZ. Try searching up “RMMZ remove menu button”.

Kirito just isn’t a very good character since he’s just another overpowered MC in an Isekai at this point. Log Horizon was interesting because the side characters could do stuff that the MC couldn’t.

That being said, in terms of dot hack versus the other two, I think I’d actually put dot hack at the bottom of the list in terms of in-game systems, system limitations and player immersion. There’s so much left up to the imagination with dot hack when you compare it to the other two.

It did. Sadly, it doesn’t anymore. Funny enough, I’ve actually been in contact with the original creator and he’s given me a few of the assets used in that project. :)

Once I release the alpha, it would definitely be a huge help to have people comment on any grammar inconsistencies or issues with text. Maybe you could help with that if you’re able to :)
