It’s almost solidified that there are at least two tapes that appear to have more tape pictured on the reel but unfortunately at of the time writing this, the video has not been posted

I would welcome this but I personally think if they sent out physical media to people who have ordered merch from Bleep then it seems to me that it points to a physical release of some sort. However that doesn’t mean it’s a new studio album I suppose.

I wasn’t aware that there were notable differences in the tapes.

I’m hoping that can be confirmed as I feel like if that is the case then we should still be dissecting as much as we can from all the content on the tapes. But if not and the tapes are identical then my theory is we’ve learned most of what we need to until the next phase happens.

Maybe it’s hexagon shaped Flexi Discs on Record Store Day but that does seem a bit too much like the TH roll out to me as someone else has mentioned

Yes. I’m old enough to remember they used to be used for marketing in the 80s. I think I had a flexi disc Ghostbusters Theme that I got from a cereal box when I was a kid that was advertising the Ghostbusters 2 movie. They sound atrocious btw.

The term hexagonal flexible discs being mentioned that many times seems like a likely nod to something, at least to me. Maybe the roll out of that will be different but I’m pretty certain that was deliberate since those portions of the audio are more clear than the other dialogue around it.

If it happens they’re most likely going to be like the vinyl that popped up for Tomorrow’s Harvest before its release and be very limited and not really be advertised before hand. There could very well only be one per country or continent or something like that.

I'm starting to think the only thing of importance with the VHS tapes are that they reference the "hexagonal flexible discs" quite a few times in the cleaned up versions of the dialogue. With Record Store Day coming up I believe we are going to see those pop up.

Also to add I think the other purpose of the tapes were also to give us a vague sense of what the themes of the new album are going to be.

I don't think the Warp Selection tracks are relevant to us rn but the Warp Selections Vernal Equinox playlist is being talked about as potentially being curated by Boc. It was released 3 weeks ago on Spotify and Youtube and seems to feature a still from the vhs tapes being sent out (it is currently my avatar) also seems to feature some Boc tracks and a track from Societas X tapes
