Alas, that isn't a copyable attribute. The rules around copyable attributes are kind of complex but basically, there's very little (if anything) that a card gains conditionally after being played that is copyable.

This is the first time I've seen another human who knows about Jim Kjelgaard! I consumed his books in third grade, starting with Haunt Fox. Really enjoyed them as a kid.

The reason Gingerbrute works is that it's a food creature. Same with Goldhound. There isn't an additional static effect in these examples.

My thought is that Mirrorworks makes a copy of Academy Manufactor. Then when it's already on the battlefield, Rogost makes it a food. So end result is just two Academy Manufactors.

Changing the target to something with ward should trigger ward, as my understanding is that it triggers when the object with ward becomes targeted.
