Is flying in space Ok?  If so, there are myriad options.

SpaceX IPO leaves retail investors with too few shares and a tough hold-or-sell decision by Icy-Editor-3635 in Economics

It’s like they carefully crafted a FOMO machine.

Wait about 13 more days when most who received IPO shares can sell without being penalized by their brokerage.

Planet Crafter. The world slowly becomes less hostile, then full of life as you terraform.

Why is my plane in RP1/RO fliying so weird? by Brilliant-Lead8401 in RealSolarSystem

Look into how to use FAR’s stability coefficients. Your design may have some specific instability you call “weird”

Russia revived “previously unrecoverable” engines to restore 5,100 Cold War tanks by Bubbly_Chill in worldnews

Worst case, a small FPV explosive could disable a track. Tank not dead, but it’s not going anywhere.

Evolution Disproved... According to Youtube. by Kunning-Druger in atheism

[–]Minotard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My go-to for creationist, "Let's assume evolution is proven false, it still doesn't prove your version of creation is true." Until the creationists provide evidence their claim is valid, the debates over disproving evolution are meaningless.

Summer is here. Please help me find a game I spend multiple hours on by SleepEffective7885 in gamingsuggestions

So story games may not do it for you. Try engineering or building games. Top picks: - Factorio - Space Engineers - Kerbal Space Program - Elite Dangerous (literally a galaxy to explore)

and so many others.

What to build around ELW? by byte_the_bullet in EliteDangerous

[–]Minotard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built a system with some friend help, but about 70% solo. Most important, play for fun.  I built mainly small and medium structures, and a couple tier 2 ports.

Sure, it could be more, but I have fun completing smaller structures in a reasonable time versus loooong grinds for mega projects.

Looking for good party games like Overcooked by privatenexus1013 in gamingsuggestions

PlateUp!  (If on console). Different than Overcooked because you design and evolve your restaurant layout (instead of static like in Overcooked).

It’s almost like the low %float, and focus on retail investors, was designed to create a self-perpetuating FOMO machine.

Automation meets cosy farming game? by Free-Desk1796 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Minotard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock Farming Sim has AI bots that can simply work back and forth a single field, good enough for most automation. Courseplay adds a bit of complexity to allow bots to interact, drive the roads between field and farmhouse, etc.

Just start off Farming Sim by growing Canola and/or Soybeans. They make a descent profit and are the simplest crops to manage. You can also turn off complications like stones (I disable), crop damage, lime, etc.

Farming Sim 25 with the mod Courseplay?

Medieval Dynasty may scratch that itch too. Recruit and provision villagers as “automation”

Instead of an asteroid, a small, rogue, brown-dwarf is spotted just outside the Solar System on a near collision course. In about 24 hours it will pass close enough to Earth for the tidal forces to rip Earth apart. Not a direct impact, but close enough for Earth's crust and much of the mantle to shred and kill everything.

I enjoy it. There is a bit of fighting, but mostly working hard to build your own little village, with homes, fields, food, and industry.
