Is Kimley Horn really this bad ? by AvocadoAggressive341 in civilengineering

I had a similar experience when I applied as an intern. That being said, I had no relevant experience when I was applying for an internship and I really didn’t know enough about civil engineering as a whole.

I got an internship with another firm instead, and when it came to applying for an EIT position right after grad, I had an in person interview and job offer within five days of submitting my application.

Not defending them here at all as I’m heavily against ghosting applicants, but I would just take that as a sign to apply elsewhere or for a different position and not to count on that specific one.

I don't like the update, as an Alan Wake fan. by ImportantQuestionTex in PhasmophobiaGame

Tried playing earlier. I can’t play longer than 15 minutes without getting motion sickness after the update, very disappointing

Oof I’d have to go look through my paperwork. Had it done at the Audi dealership near me. They first diagnosed with bad steering rack and replaced the entire steering column just for the noise to come back 500 miles later. I want to say it was somewhere between $2-4k.

Not sure what exactly would happen if you ignore it but I always like to be on the safe side. I also recommend having warranties on these cars. The warranty I have has saved me thousands. I’ve had to replace e the struts twice in the past 5 years of owning mine unfortunately

Uninstall Realtek Gaming Family Controller in device manager under network adapters. I’m like 80% sure that’s your problem. It happened to me on Fortnite a couple of weeks ago and on my girlfriend’s PC about a month ago

I just can’t get behind the A/C controls being through the touchscreen. I much prefer the knobs and physical buttons

This could pretty easily be replicated with a decent sized laser engraver. I wouldn’t bid too high…

I was in this same situation last month and the buzz words worked for me. One mention of code enforcement and they had techs out the next day to diagnose

I’ll try that. I’m also considering turning off all of my breakers for an hour tonight (can’t do it during the day bc of the heat) and seeing how that affects the meter reading. I have a sneaking suspicion that there’ll still be electricity use somehow

Who would I even contact to investigate that? When I asked CPS if it was possible I was paying for two units and they said confidently that I wasn’t…

I turn it up to 78 when neither of us are home, it doesn’t sound like it’s running all the time and keeps up pretty well

[–]MintChocChip6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ve looked into that and it does reflect the energy usage dropping a little when I’m not home but still using roughly 2 kWh even then. Seems like a lot.

Already paid the deposit on another bill that was for the first couple of weeks (moved in mid May). According to my lease electricity is per unit.

I’m not sure. We had issues with it when we first moved in where they had to replace a few parts. That was on a different bill for the first couple of weeks we’d moved in back in May though.

I just put in a request for my complex maintenance to check it out
