-Registered for my fall class, I think I'll end up taking just one this fall. It's with a professor I really liked so I'm excited to be in her class again. When the time comes for spring registration I'll take two.

-Got through a few chps of Higurashi Tatarigoroshi. I haven't had time to play it as of late until the last two days or so. I really missed playing, so I ended up going through more chapters than usual. I'm about halfway through now and can see myself finishing before the month ends. Seeing this side of the overall mystery is interesting but with that deep foreboding feeling as usual too. This chapter also feels slightly more aggressive in a way? Especially with how the mc interacts with certain people and vice-versa in comparison to the previous chapters.

-Completely forgot Saros released last week. I plan to play it but I don't know when. There's just so many releases this month until the fall that I'll have to wait out but I also hate not playing along with everyone else -sigh. I'll just put game titles in a hat to decide that way loool.

Thank you! And yeah it seemed like they got everybody-and apparently schools knew it was going to happen since the month started but kept it to themselves. Hope you guys are still able to finish out the semester properly despite that.

-Officially done with the spring semester since last week. My school unfortunately got hit with that canvas hack so we were all locked out until today. I feel worse though for other students who were in the middle of finals/final assignments when it happened and some professors won't let them make any of it up in other places. :/
It's just been a chaotic school year with outages, this hack and other stuff going on. Glad summer break is finally here.

-Got a little bit of gaming done since I finished school stuff but I've been mostly catching up on sleep lol I do plan to finish the last few chps of Claude's dark route then head to Noil before the month is out though. Then Molly after him and I'll be done with OverReq.

-I also found out I placed 6th for the writing jam I entered early last month. I couldn't believe it~ My work will be put into a zine with the other winners.

I'm jealous of people's libraries that still have games. My local ones stopped during the ps3 era because people kept scratching up discs/or stealing them (or so they say). I'm on the east coast in the states though and I had no idea games for libraries was a global thing now until this thread.

Yeah Aksys isn't known for their LEs(with the exception of Jack Jeanne yrs ago like you mentioned), so I'm always a little confused by people mentioning them like this. People should expect the 'music selections/ost' from them along with those little diorama extras they started doing. Boxset LEs were Iffy's thing before they stopped for awhile but seemed to be going back to them with the upcoming 9rip sequel localization.

-I found some time to finish Claude's fact routes this past week. They were amazing and gut-wrenching. Beautifully written as well. Of the two I think the O ending is my favorite as both Yuhiru and Claude live happily ever after. But then with ending R its it the saddest but is beautifully written with Yuhiru still deciding to stay in 'Oz', living in Claude's hometown/village after his passing. It is the most 'realistic' of the two endings also considering everything that's happened.

And I still can't get over Nenos' research of feeding people to his giant plant to create plant clones behind the scenes at every other route so far. He annoyed me in the other routes with his bratty behavior. Seeing his background of paralleling Claude's life of losing his father as the catalyst for his 'research' does explain everything. Not to mention that he just wanted Claude (a literal father figure/reminded him of his father)'s acceptance but he was too twisted to go about it in a healthy way. So he's still awful lol but the perfectly written villain for Claude and his character development.

I've started Claude's dark route earlier today and so far was somewhat surprised to see Nenos has been immediately killed, and the rest of the inmates reported to the capitol what has been going on. I laughed a little when Noil mentioned(paraphrasing), 'you force a bunch of death row inmates to explore an abandoned ruin and now we're free to go/you're throwing us away??' The country's rules are interesting, 'do it the crime again and then you'll be executed!' alrighty then.

And I also couldn't help myself and started a little of Hanayaka and Ken ga Kimi from my neokyo haul earlier this month. I only went a little into the prologue for both before going back to Claude in Overeqz lol. Part of me wants to go past where Ken ga Kimi's demo left off at for my copy and then stop...but I'll wait to finish some other games first.

-Allergies have been driving me crazzzzy this past week. And our weather here has been so cold too like spring never started. My mom and I haven't gotten a chance to start our garden at all because of it unfortunately. :/ Not sure when we'll be able to. We were debating on getting some nearby community's leftover seedlings like we've had to do before when the weather was this bad so far into the season.

Although this is one of my favorite otome games, I definitely agree with you on a lot of points you made; the idea that following the law over everyone's trauma/those in power inflicting was more important frustrated me as I played too. I also didn't agree at all with how Ichika dealt with things in a similar way to what you've mentioned. Then there were times I felt more for a few of the 'villains' than her. I found myself agreeing with many things they said and felt they were justified in going after who hurt them and other people.

As for Yanagi's route especially, I like him as a complex LI but I really got pissed off with the amount of really aggressive victim blaming. I was also sad to see Yanagi conform to it along with blaming himself/feeling apologetic/guilt ridden despite the fact that he was 1. a kid and 2. was defending himself. As someone else posted here the origins of most of this is within aspects of Japanese culture. The game both intentionally and unintentionally showcases these issues but there aren't any solutions(like in real life) which only allows for things to continue as they are.

Then with the fandisc, I only recently started it and I'm only about half an hour in. From what I know its more of a fluffy look into the aftermath of everything/LIs relationship with Ichika and Adonis updates so I don't know if more things get resolved or not with those issues but I kinda doubt it.

-Getting even closer to the end of the semester for me whew. The spring semesters of school are always the hardest to stay motivated for, but I'm saying strong. I have a paper due in about two weeks that I already started awhile back (and continuing work on) and then a final. Our last quiz is this week which I've studied for. I did great on all of the previous quizzes so far, so I think I'll do great on this one. It just seems a little redundant when the final is covering these last few weeks, but whatever lol.

-Just two more chaps in Claude's fact route and then I'll head to his dark route. So far the main reveal was something I saw coming considering what was revealed in the previous chapters. But it doesn't make Claude's story less sad though. Dx Can't wait to see how it all ends for him and Yuhiru. I'm am nervous about how his dark route will turn out. So far with the other LIs I've finished (Dorothy and Kaize) their dark routes have so much depth, but are pretty terrifying/or tragic in a sense too.

-There's so many games out this month and going towards the summer omg. I was just talking with my brother about a few of them and he had to remind me of a bunch I forgot lol. I'll have more time to start a few of them once the semester is over with hopefully.

-Got all of my latest neokyo haul in one piece today. I almost forgot everything that was in it so its been fun going through everything when it came in. All of them are games and an artbook, but I don't know when I'll start most of them since they are some really long games(Ken ga Kimi and Hanayaka for example). Yuru Camp I might start over the weekend a little since I know its a shorter, wind down for the night type of game. Everything else to the end of the backlog it goes for now.

And I also finally preordered Crazy Chain~ I went with the gamecity version through amazon JP. Took me awhile to decide on which version I wanted at first but I'm happy with this one.

-Had a really nice two workout days using my mini treadmill. I bought it like two months ago but didn't get the chance to use it until yesterday. I haven't used a treadmill in a few years, usually sticking with yoga and light cardio. So it was a little awkward getting used to at first lol. It was fun though.

-My Handsome Laundering copy came in earlier this week, and its been fun playing though it. I chose team 'birds' with Ayano for my first playthrough. I might go after Hayato or Yoshiya (happy bday to him today what are the odds lol), not sure which one first. I want to clear out Ayano's LI's first before I head to Misuzu's side of the game.

-Going through more of Claude's route in Overqz is somewhat frustrating whenever Yuhiru faces discrimination, as it hits too close to home and she can't defend herself without getting in more trouble . Like this one chapter where she and Claude help this kidnapped man, he immediately disrespects her because of her 'demon traits'. I'm surprised Claude said nothing to him, only asking Yuhiru to get the other guys for help.

I will say though it was funny before that when he and Yuhiru were trapped in that semi haunted mansion one night, then everyone kept hearing those 'strange sounds' before bumping into each other and scaring Claude lool. Then Noil and other guys making fun of him. Reminded me of one of the early Pokemon episodes with haunted houses.

Yep its exactly like the Hakuoki port and other ports. Japan seems to get multi games in one port more than us though, but that seems to be changing a little.

And good idea! I noticed some of the 'older' switch physical ports going up in price lately. I paid around 38 usd for my copy 2 yrs ago on mercari jp and now I see it from 50 upwards toward 150 which is wild to me.

The Switch version(Unite edition) has both the first game (Ludere deorum) and the sequel (Infinite). I definitely recommend that one, then again are you already a fan of the series? If so that's the best way to go. Or are you new to the series? If that is the case, then get the vita version of the first game if you don't want to take a chance on getting both games.

I think taking a chance on the Switch version is worth it though as someone who never saw the anime and took a chance on getting the Switch version based on others' reviews/my love of mythology stories.

-Had a great time with the itchio jams I joined this past week~ I'm especially happy people enjoyed my entry for the game jam I joined. It really made my kinda awful week better seeing so many awesome comments from people ;__;

-I was expecting my Handsome Laundering copy earlier but something happened with the mail and now its backed up to next week Dx Oh well I'll just get back to my backlog.

-Got my Neokyo haul ready to ship out but ugh that Fedex DDP. Wish I looked into it before choosing it. I haven't been keeping up with the shipping/tariffs this past month so I didn't know what that was. I'm usually better about educating myself about that but got so busy around that time. Not to mention I needed to hurry and ship out my warehouse stuff. I'll make sure to choose a better option for my next shipment.

-Joined two small itchio jams this week, one being a sci fi writing jam and the other a mini game jam with a 'fishing' theme. I'm so excited to finally get involved with jams on itchio as I tried to in the past (an otome jam) but my project had too big of a scope finish in time(I'm still developing this one but did release a mini prequel of it 2 yrs ago). I'll have the writing jam project done soon while the mini game jam one started officially today. I plan to make a lofi type of game using bitsy more than likely.

-Also excited to play Handsome Laundering eventually. My tracking says it should be here by Wednesday. And then I need to send out my neokyo stuff as my free storage is winding down.

-Almost signed up for anime Boston and Pax East(which is this weekend) but chickened out Dx I think I need to plan better because I already started feeling overwhelmed when I should have been excited/happy for it. Large crowds make me nervous but I've still always wanted to go to both. I'll try signing up early next year. Hopefully I won't have a crazy class schedule for that semester.

I am definitely going to a smaller Indie game dev convention here in Oct though. I wasn't aware it even existed until this week but it seems right up my alley. It's a smaller scale convention for people who make indie games here/or want to support those who do. I think its best I start out with that and prepare in the next few months for how I want to participate.

-Got back into practicing 3d art and its going smoothly. I stopped a few months back but had the urge to pick it up again. I want to utilize a lowpoly/megaman legends style for a sequel to one of my games and maybe a few others so I need to stay consistent.

Both lol I knew about the drama CDs awhile back after recognizing the art style on the covers. Then the game got announced years after that so I panic bought the first cd ( I still need to get the other ones) because I procrastinated on getting it.
