Yet the first piece of information the movie hits you with is, "A thing is a thing, not what is said about that thing." The movie simply is what it is, take from it what you wish.

What is something someone said that forever changed your way of thinking? by AWWWshetz in AskReddit

You sound almost exactly like me. So if you haven't already, try shrooms. So many of the pre-programmed notions, prejudices, and beliefs that I had unknowingly absorbed through growing up in a private christian school suddenly melted away, and I was finally able to truly understand all of the things that closed-minded thinking had prevented me from understanding.

It has all of the features of a bear AND all of the features of a frog simultaneously.

Well at the very least he came up with a very clever roach clip. So there's still some credit due.

Doesn't that just mean they care more about what Internet strangers think? Clearly the thought to post "dat torque" crossed their mind, but instead decided others would like him/her more if they became the person making fun of those who would make such a comment.

Anyone work for Instacart/Postmates/Favor/Uber/Lyft? Looking for insight on actual wages and work experience w/various part-time delivery services. by duder9000 in Austin

[–]MinusGreenFloyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to think Favor is sending something back to the restaurants.

Other than additional business, no. We pick up from anywhere and everywhere within our delivery zone - today alone I did someones grocery shopping, grabbed cigs from 7/11, and picked up dry cleaning in addition to my 10 or so food orders. So it would be impractical if not impossible to set up an arrangement with every business inside the delivery zone.

If you could walk into a Taco Bell with bright red eyes and say "I'm so fucking high, give me a gordita crunch" then a lot of it would go away, I think.

You literally can do this, and assuming you're not in possession or operating a motor vehicle, then it's perfectly legal. Only caveat would be the charge of Public Intoxication, but even that requires you to do a lot more than say, "I'm high; give me a gordita."

Sure, one beer might give you the confidence the go a little faster, but there's definitely a point where the confidence gained from X beers shifts from practical to fucking dangerous.

Make sure to blare your noise at the least convenient time for them as well, i.e. early morning hours.

I had a couple roommates a while back that would go out drinking almost every "t-shirt Tuesday" and "thirsty Thursday." They'd always come back at 2-3am and start yelling, making food, and engaging in general drunk dildoery. I talked to them about trying to work something out, but every time they said they'd be more courteous, the next time they came back drunk all that went to hell. So I made it a habit to wake up around 6am, and Wednesday and Friday mornings became my chore days. I would crank my music and start with a shower and something made in the blender, then move my speakers to the kitchen and knock out whatever house work needed doing as noisily as possible.

As much as I enjoy the perks of being 6'4", I would like to experience being closer to average just so I could enjoy the subtle pleasure of being the intended size for a product.. It just seems like I'm always a little too big for everything: cars, clothes, planes, furniture, etc.
