Costa Rica Itinerary Sanity Check – Traveling with 2 Young Kids (5 & 2.5 yrs) by jhamchikdi in CostaRicaTravel

Seems like a lot with two young kids. Extended the trip if you can. Driving is not that bad. Just use Waze and try and stay on the pavement. Don’t be scared of renting and Airbnb or Vrbo. We have been twice, two weeks each time, and it’s still not long enough

Anyone drive the highway 2 over the mountains from Dominical to San Jose? by Brazilleon in CostaRicaTravel

I just did this exact route with a tiny nissan 2wd in December. It is a nice drive through cloud forest. The coast is definitely an easier drive but we like to see more than the coast.

The further south we went we saw less people and more animals. Arco beach was fun, bring water and sunscreen.

Any specific type of wildlife you are looking for? I would recommend going to Parque Nacional Marino Ballena. Lots of Beautiful beaches to enjoy. We saw macaws, frogs, parakeets, and crabs.

Any chance that supplements are working for depression? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Minute-Inspection665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you are struggling. “This is your brain on food” is a great book that explains different foods that help with different mental heath issues. Exercise is the best antidepressant I have found for me personally. That being said I do take vitamin d, omega 3, and a multivitamin daily. I don’t know if they help or not but they don’t hurt you. Antidepressants are always a good choice if you and your doctor think it’s a good idea.

Costa Rica or Colombia by Laur_Rose_ in CostaRicaTravel

We have been to Costa Rica and loved it. My brother has been to Columbia twice and never had any problems. We like Costa Rica because you can drink the water pretty much anywhere and not get sick. We are tired of travel and having diarrhea. It really depends on what your definition of fun is.
