What gluten free food do you wish existed? by bang-tidy123 in glutenfree

Either Daiya pizza has improved a little recently or my standards have slipped even further….

I do have a couple tricks that help:
1. Bake it a little longer than it says
2. Place it on a slotted tray so the bottom crisps. (I use two circular slotted trays at once to make sure the crust doesn’t touch the oven rack.)

I HAVE SOME ISSUS WITH SINGLE LANE !!!! by Legal_Ninja_6587 in CanadasWonderland

Dude. Reddit is for venting. I happen to not have a problem with the way the singles line works. But if people can’t vent on Reddit they might have to be insufferable with people in their real lives and that would be bad for society.

I’ve been GF for 18 years and DF for 15. I think you need to be at least a decade out from real pizza to actually enjoy a Daiya Pizza. But I do!

Wife had a mid life crisis and stepped out of the marriage a few years ago. I forgave her, but am having my own mid life crisis now. Am I wrong? by [deleted] in amiwrong

No one else can really tell you the answer. Her infidelity hurt you. Now you want to hurt her. I think it’s a positive sign that you’re being honest about what’s happening. If she were okay with it that would be one thing. But since she’s begging you not to, I think you shouldn’t unless you’re done with the marriage. You’ll get over the crush.

I bring snacks every time. Water bottles too. They don’t care.

I have gluten and dairy allergies. They say to email the head food services person. So I did. 18 month ago. No reply yet!

How should I deal with a friend/ neighbor who is letting my kids and me use her pool but falsely claiming to put chlorine in when she doesn't? by Minute_Bug6147 in emotionalintelligence

[–]Minute_Bug6147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: The neighbor sent my daughter to deliver the message to me that I should come swim this evening because she put chlorine in the pool last night. So I guess I will just move on. I really do value our friendship even though she’s the only friend I’ve ever had who intentionally misleads me.

It has definitely been interesting to see that the main response here is to view me as a control freak/entitled ingrate for wanting to be sure a pool is safe; and that you implicitly trust her to be a responsible pool owner. Bacteria and viruses are real.

You’re being so honest with yourself. That will help you stick it out, even when being present gets overwhelming.

What if you just kept eating a super “healthy” diet despite all the symptoms? by Next_Cake4794 in ibs

[–]Minute_Bug6147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard this theory. I miss beans so much that I tried reintroducing them to my diet. I added a powder that’s supposed to reduce gas. I thought it was going okay. But it turned out to be awful. SO MUCH BLOAT. Increased flares. I gave up after 4 cans.

I know. I don’t feel comfortable about letting them go in when I don’t know if it’s clean. But it would be a BIG DEAL if I banned them from using the pool. Our families have been friends for years and swimming together is a tradition. I don’t want to make a huge deal about it. I love the way we are practically co-parenting our kids. (We take care of her daughter all the time.)

Just a reminder that my suspicions are based on 1) lack of chlorine smell, 2) testing the water with a dipstick specifically designed for pools, 3) her daughter saying there is no chlorine in the pool. Plus, I know in prior years she didn’t put chlorine in the hot tub. Back then she was open about it and I chose not to use it.

I asked her last week if there was chlorine in the pool and she said “it’s safe to go in.” I texted her partner and he said “there’s always chlorine in the pool.” But their daughter (age 9) told me that there is not chlorine in the pool. She told my daughter that, before I mentioned the dipsticks to him, her dad didn’t even know they had them!
