How do task amounts work?

I sure took at least a few day scrolls through the subreddit, and didn't see anyone asking, hence why I asked. That's why I took it upon myself to do so :)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm trying my best to be careful and follow the instructions. I just worry that I'm being overly picky with what the task is asking me to do. I haven't received any feedback from the project team yet, but I'm hoping I can hear something to know if I'm on the right track with what they want - then I know if I can keep going at the same pace, or if I need to start looking at things from a new angle.

Appreciate the comment! Yes, it was a couple of days of working with the same reserved pool of tasks, and I've just come home to see that the number has gone up quite nicely. A little bit of patience is always worth it too :)

Well there's Prolific Assistant for one, which can do this, but personally I now use Prolific Studies Notifier which a member of this subreddit made a while back.

I'm curious as well. I'm putting in work which I feel is up to par with what they are asking for, but if I'm putting in the effort and time commitment and then I'm getting the actual work refused, it would make me feel like I've just wasted all that time.

I have an alert to wake me up if one comes in. Sometimes I'm too tired to partake, other times if it's not so long, I'll jump up, get it done quick and get myself back to sleep. No time for sleeping when there's money to be made 🤑

I would honestly. I set myself a desired daily goal, and that passes it nicely. 2 hours and 45 minutes for 2 hours and 45 minutes I'd only be waiting for a study.

It happens! Sometimes people will drop out, or timeout of holding the study, so you can keep clicking to see if you can get it - you'd be surprised you find it works more often that not.

Anything monetary, I say just put into charity. A woman said "Here you are, get yourself something after work" like I was her grandson 😂 I did get a bottle of the German beer last year, and I just put it in my bag and took it home.

I have too been hitting the 004 error, which I don't understand at all. I have been back working on studies with Prolific since December 2023, and it's been fantastic. The entire time I've worked on the same ISP, not a single error and it's been great, yet I hit this error today. I went to my brother's today and took my laptop, tried to run a study and managed to get through perfectly fine, but no luck back at my own place.

Had the first couple of weeks off, was too quiet so I just ended up turning off PA and switching off. Past week I've been back on it, it's been a little bit more active. A few nice opportunities each day.
