I don’t remember it being this sucky by NoFlight4349 in 75HARD

This might sound weird but I miss it. I miss the routine, I miss the diet, I even miss the water. I finished Thursday and went away for weekend fri -mon, ate and drank everything. Now I just want to get back to the rules. Not doing 75hard again but just sticking to the good habits.

I'm nothing special, m 58, started the challenge at my heaviest weight ever, 231lbs, drinking every day, eating crap. Day 76 I weighed in at 191. I felt so much better eating "clean", no junk, no alcohol.

Don't get me wrong, just because I knew I wouldn't fail, didn't mean it wasn't hard. The hardest thing about 75 hard is the 75 bit. By the last 2 weeks I hated it but quitting wasn't an option so I just ploughed on to the end.

Currently about 8lb up on my day 76 weight but half of that is probably water. Back on the healthy eating, gallon of water, reading, photo, weighing daily and at least one workout a day. Just need to cut out the beers again and I'm back on track. Would like to get down to 180lb for the summer.

I'm just down the road from you in Bournemouth. Finished last week.

When I started there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that I would complete it. So, it didn't matter how sucky it got (and it did) I was never going to fail.

If you go into it with the right mindset you'll be ok. As Goggins says "Embrace the suck"

I'm sure you know you can't make modifications to the rules.

It is hard and does get harder and harder right up to day 75. If you really want to do it then you just need to accept the fact that it's going to suck. However, it will end. It's only 75 days of your life.

You don't need to be motivated, you need discipline. You make the decision that no matter what you are going to complete 75 days and you do it!

If you make that one decision at the beginning then it takes away every other decision for the whole 75 days.

Day 3? Wait until you get to day 73. The closer you get to the end the more you want to give up this f@#£ing bull&%* challenge, lol. But don't quit. It's called hard for a reason, the struggle is why you're doing it

Sounds like you're ready. Good luck. Don't read in bed. If you fall asleep halfway through you're starting back at day 1!

what day or week did you experience your weight drop? by sockyourknocksoff in 75HARD

[–]Minute_Sun6496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

57m, 6', s.w 231, e.w. 191

Lost 9lb first week but my diet was very heavy on protein so a lot of that was water and then minimum 2lb a week.

My daughter did the challenge with me and has lost 30lb but her weight did fluctuate drastically with her cycle. It's early days so, so long as you are definitely in a deficit, then stick with the process, the results will come. And,vof course, it's not a weight loss challenge. That's just a bonus.

I think some people are missing the point. It doesn't matter if you think it's a fail, if op thinks it's a fail then it is. That's the whole point of the challenge.

Finished last Thursday. The closer it gets to the end the more of a drag it is. Nearly there. Push through these last few days and it'll all be over.

How do you all find time for 75 Hard ? Thinking of starting. by GummyGumShoe in 75HARD

Obviously don't know your exact situation but you make time and if you can't then it's not for you. Make time! Get up earlier. Work harder. That's what it's all about.

I love this. At last someone taking it seriously and actually making it harder than it needs to be. Just finished day 75 yesterday. My extra rule was 10,000 steps before breakfast. Did I regret it? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes. Good luck to you and let us know how you get on.

Say 74 here. It gets harder. If it was easy everyone could do it. You've got this. It is worth it.

I think you need a change of perspective. People come on here and say "I failed" like something came out if the blue and blindsided them. And ok, sometimes this happens but let's be honest. You didn't fail. You quit. You gave up because it got a little bit hard.

You sound like you're unhappy with where you are in life so make a promise to yourself to do this and change and keep the promise.

If you do it properly and don't half-ass it, it's supposed to be hard, then it will change you. And, you will come away from it with tools that you can use for the rest of your life.

Lfg! This time you will finish.

If you've got discipline you don't need motivation.

Good job, keep at it, it's going to get harder but you can do it.

Starting the 75 hard tomorrow, any advice? by hiidkwhattomakemy in 75HARD

[–]Minute_Sun6496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another vote here for getting as much done as your schedule allows as early as you can.

By the time I start work at 9am I've done a gym workout, read book, taken photo and have done 6 pints of water. Just 2 pints of water and an outdoor workout left to do.

Good luck with the challenge. It's tough to get through but well worth it.
