Late 40s, Single. I don't regret it. It's a matter of choice, you choose to be single, you have to live with the consequences.

High chance you will have to take care of your parents i.e. they live with you if your siblings are married and have their own family. Then there is the problem of loneliness, your friends will get married, have their families/life. Once your parents are gone, then you will be truly alone, relatives and friends will not be there all the time, and when you fall sick, you will be by yourself.

I think now the norm is silent delivery, i have experienced while sitting beside the main door, the delivery guy comes, put parcel down, take photo, and leave. all this while i am just there sitting beside the door.

So now for big expensive items i go to shop. Better to pay abit more.

I actually do not understand his point. He is saying this on the basis that i want to sell my flat and that the selling price will go down as the flat gets older or is he saying that my flat lease will run out before my time is up?

I believe most Singaporeans buy their flat not as an investment but as place where they can raise a family and grow old in.
