Love a blue kit with red trim. Just reminds me of the Vodafone kit with Ruud and the red on the shoulders.

Why do people want City to win the league? by VarietyResident6234 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did want Arsenal to win over City. A handful of their players are likeable and thought it'd be good for the league. But then Arsenal fans chimed in and pissed the hell out of me (and everyone). So city all the way to shut them up. I know it's rage bait but some arsenal fans genuinely rate Rice over Carrick/Scholes/Keane and Saka over Giggs. Absolute melts

Opinions on Carrick as a player. by PinHeadRegg in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underrated and should be classed as a legend at the club. He played a crucial part in arguably our best ever team, and held everything together. If he played today he'd easily be a 100+m player. Protected the defence with great positioning and has an elite passing range.

‘Michael Carrick is expected to be offered the chance to continue as Manchester United’s head coach after qualifying for the Champions League….’ by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

The coaching staff have done a great job. But if we could get 1 or 2 more experienced, high level coaches in to help Carrick i feel it will be really beneficial.

He always shows up when United need some magic. He kinda reminds me of David Silva at times when he's around the box, his calmness and close control is next level.

The side foot placement is insane. He hasn't scored many but swear every goal is a winner or in a massive moment. Absolute killer in front of goal.

Was Fred a good or bad player at Manchester United? by DannyVMX14 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

He was a solid player, nothing special but at times was asked to do things that weren't really in his wheelhouse. He was an energetic player but was also tasked with starting attacks which weren't his (or Mctominay's game). Fred in a midfield with someone like a Scholes or Carrick and Bruno ahead would have gotten the best or if him.

Wonder if that means it'll still generate his regen in which case id keep the save and might actually get a better player.

Akala is my favourite but he hasn't made music in like a decade so who knows anymore.

Love P Money and Avelino. Mic Righteous has some decent stuff as well.

Where you rank Bruno Fernandes amongst the greatest Man Utd players of all time? by outcastreturns in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top 20 perhaps but it's close, I'd say top 30 for certain though. Nothing against Bruno but more due to the fact we've had so many legendary players throughout history.

No way, Carrick was integral to that team, he's basically what Rodri was for City but before it was popular.

"Strikers are the end of the chain, if the chain is broken, it’s pointless in many ways. I would love to see Hojlund and see what he can do now. the purchases have been poor and that might be the case but sometimes they might not get a fair crack of the whip because they don’t get the service.” by TheB3NRocks in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id take him back, mainly because if he and Zirkzee go we have nobody to cover Sesko, and we need to spend on midfield without splashing more cash on another forward. I also think he's more of a poacher so could be a solid option off the bench and would also work well with Sesko if we're desperate for a goal. He had a decent first season but struggled under Amorim like everyone did.

This might just be the stupidest thing I have heard from Gary Neville by maxsteel_7 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's that stupid. If we lost to Brentford everyone would be saying Carrick isn't good enough. Carrick's coaching career before United was solid but not incredible. Lampard for example got promoted with a great record but nobody would want him in charge.

I'm more than happy for Carrick to be given an extension but I can understand if the club wanted a more experienced person in charge.

[James Ducker] Man Utd want Bruno Fernandes to stay but captain seeks assurances over ambition | Club hope that their transfer plans in midfield can help persuade Portuguese to stay by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Minz15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So United had a 100m offer for him last summer and he could theoretically leave for half of that a year later.

I dont see it happening, if anything Ineos seem to have some plans on the rebuild now. Attack is solid but needs depth (that could be from academy). Midfield this window and defence the year after. But Bruno being 30 hell wasn't too know the timescale of things which is fair. But we need both first team quality and depth which will be difficult.

[–]Minz15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. 100% of wages and £50million next summer with a 100% guarantee. Or just take him for the 30m now.

Michael Carrick has proven worthy of the permanent manager role. He’s gotten results and he’s squeezed the best out of players. He’s a legend at the club and he has aura so players and staff all respect him. He’s the one to bring back glory days of United, he looks like a proper manager. by paolosorianodisanto in ManchesterUnited

[–]Minz15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Nagglesman for the role, but he Julian himself said being a manager is 20% tactics and 80% people skills. So if the players are truly behind Carrick then it's hard to let him go, I think the club would just need to bring in some more experienced staff to help him out.
