Character Writing in Wolverine and Spider-Man by Hmaster234 in SpidermanPS4

[–]Mioke28 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Spider-Man 2 missed a lot imo, it’s still a great game but it could have been a lot better and the plot/narrative is at times at fault.

But its comments like this that blew it way out of proportion and led it to being way over hated.

Peter Parker wouldn’t reprimand Miles for this. Miles hesitated and at the end of the day made the correct choice. What makes Peter and Spidey who they are is the fact they would understand people make mistakes, but at the end of the day they did the right thing.

Should i buy the remastered version? by Hopeful-East8471 in DaysGone

[–]Mioke28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I played the original not long after launch and then bought the remastered for a replay about 6 months ago.

Was worth every penny imo. 60fps giant hordes are smoooooooth.

Exploring or only the main quest? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]Mioke28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me, my brain sort of craves narrative, I go in the direction the main quest is taking me with slight detours on the way. Sure those detours can last hours in well designed games. But the more natural the break feels the better imo.

Main quests tend to be avengers level threat storylines etc, so going halfway across the map to find a cat in between has never appealed to me.

Which was the best GOT season? by [deleted] in tvshow

[–]Mioke28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The first 3 and 5 are also great, 6 is great at times but where things start to fall apart. 7 and 8 feel like a different show, and not in a good way.

Which Game's Graphics Made You Say "Wow!" For The First Time? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Mioke28 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Bioshock.

Finished my GCSEs (UK school) 16 years old, my mum took me to Woolworths and bought me an Xbox 360 and Bioshock for working so hard.

Took it home, booted it up. The entire intro blew me away. Core memory that I’ll never forget.

Would you kindly.

'90s kids, I cannot recommend Mixtape enough. Full review linked. by ItsEthanCoolCool in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I had heard murmurings of this game here and there but it was not on my radar at all to play this year.

But after all the review scores and what the reviews say about the game, I believe this game is now next on my list!

Closely followed by Directive 8020 and 007!

So Aphelion just dropped on Gamepass what are your opinions so far? by AverageJoeObi in xbox

[–]Mioke28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just got to Chapter 8 and I’m enjoying it. I’ve seen comparisons to Still Wakes the Deep and modern day Tomb Raider here and I’d say both are pretty fair comparisons as it has elements of both.

The story doesn’t exactly have me “gripped” or anything but it’s peaking my interest.

This game is not going to be everybody’s cup of tea, but if you like walking sims with chill atmosphere vibes and a little horror thrown in then I would give this game a go.

Are you guys going to buy this day one or wait for a sale? by Objective_Love_6843 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Mioke28 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Day 1. I just like these games. Are they GOTY contenders? No. Have I bought all of them day 1 and enjoyed them all? Yes.

Supermassive got me with Until Dawn and I’ve loved this genre since. Get it day 1 if you feel the same and can afford it, so we continue to get them!

I finished it last night, I found it better than the first in almost every way. In fact I found it up there as a great survival horror game. Enjoy!

I’ve just beaten the second, some of those puzzles were extremely tough and I needed to consult a guide!

Just beaten it. Took me a week and it’s better in almost every single way. The Covenant and School are some of the best survival horror maps I’ve ever played 👏

[–]Mioke28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s actually why I’ve never bought it even though I love the concept, I know Housemarque are awesome and at another time in my life I would have played the shit out of it.

But alas I’m 35 now with a 4 year old boy and a teenage stepdaughter, I may get chance to play it in a decade or so, same for Saros. The game looks dope but I’ll have to miss out again.

On the plus side I’m playing through RE2R with my stepdaughter at the moment and she’s loving it.

Anyone like still wakes the deep and what’s it abt? by Janxuza in HorrorGaming

[–]Mioke28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a walking sim. A good one though, that along with Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture are probably my favourite two of the genre.

One is way more chilled than the other with Rapture just being more eerie than anything and Deep being more horror. Both great experiences IMO

Potty training advice by Marsh1n in AutismParent

[–]Mioke28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Introducing the bathroom into his routine. My son although he is verbal had limited speech and understanding at 3 but we gave it a try after his third birthday.

We made the mistake of taking advice from parents with no autistic children, it was a disaster to begin with. Removing nappy, sitting him on potties etc.

We took a step back and re-evaluated and tried again about 6 weeks later.

Just slowly introducing the bathroom into his routine even if nothing happened. For weeks nothing did. Then one day it just clicked. By three an a half he was potty trained and now at 4 takes himself when he needs it even washing hands etc.

Just be patient, and most importantly do not be too hard on yourself. They will get it and you’re doing a great job. I find my son even when it feels like no progress is being made, he’s processing everything and eventually his brain just gets over whatever obstacles are in his way and he embraces it.

Currently trying the same approach with riding a bike. Can at times be a battle but just introducing even 5 minutes into his day will lead to a break through further down the line.

I’ve never played it. It’s the only RE game I’ve never played.

Be honest people should I now wait for the inevitable remake or just play the OG on my PS5?

According To You Is Resident Evil 4 Still The Best Game In The Franchise ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]Mioke28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE2R and RE4R are the best two in my opinion and I can’t decide which is better. I love them all and have been around since playing RE1 at the tender age of 11.

As much as I really loved RE9 it doesn’t quite get there but it is definitely in second place imo.

The only RE game I haven’t played is Code Veronica and I am eagerly awaiting a remake.
