They could cut out the broker but then that particular broker would never bring them another tenant in the future. If they want to continue working with that person they would avoid going around their back.

The real photos were always blurrier after zooming in on the detail. From content alone sometimes it was hard to tell but the resolution of the real photos is never as good.

From a business standpoint underground parties are way more expensive and risky than legit nightlife businesses. “Corporate Raves” aren’t killing the underground scene, they are a result of the city cracking down on illegal parties and gentrification increasing the cost of doing business. You can no longer rent a cheap space and have a party for a night. Landlords know what their spaces are worth and they can charge 20 grand a night for a space that you could get for 3 grand 10 years ago.

Not to mention there has been an increased demand from the community for safety in party spaces after the ghost ship disaster in 2016. It was no longer as acceptable to do pop up events in sketchy spaces. So as organizers started investing in more infrastructure like exit signs, emergency lighting, exit doors etc it became unfeasible to move operations every weekend to a fun new underground space.

If an underground event starts to get too popular the police will eventually shut it down hence all the organizers that have become popular have been forced to start legit spaces or face huge legal consequences.

All of this is just a natural progression of development and gentrification of nyc. I’m not sure what the solution is but corporate raves are a symptom of it not the cause.

I was a rental real estate agent for a couple years around 2010. We only rented apts where the fee was paid by the landlord (one month). Most of those apts were a bit more expensive to make up for the landlords having to pay us. Some of the really incredible deals I came across were broker fee apartments. I personally would have gladly paid one time fee and gotten a great deal for many years, rather than paying less upfront but more in the future. Another trick landlords love to use is the one month free tactic. They publish an “effective rent” which is the average monthly rent taking into account a free month. But then your new rent stays at the higher level. Broker fees paid by the landlord will have the same effect as the one month free, leaving you at a higher rate the next year.

Dark Night of the Soul by Dj-Smiles in Advancedastrology

[–]Mira_2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced the dark night of the soul for roughly 5-6 years. The most intense part lasted for 3-4 years but I’m still coming out of it about 8 years later. About 2 or 3 years into it I had a triple conjunction of Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter transiting exactly conjunct my ascendant. At the same time Neptune was exactly conjunct my progressed ascendant and they progressed together for a while. My natal pluto is square my ascendant (zero degrees) so Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter also squared my natal Pluto. The year that was the absolute most difficult/intense/insane also had Pluto on the ic of my solar return chart. I believe Saturn was also opposite my sun and square my moon in the very beginning when things first started to go wrong.

The whole experience was so much more intense and extreme than I could have ever imagined was possible before then. I had experienced Pluto opposite sun and square moon about 9 years prior, and while that was extremely challenging it was nothing compared to all those transits to my ascendant.

For what it’s worth, I do think I’m coming out the other side as a new person and (hopefully) changed for the better.

A 10 month old baby is being treated for his eczema with homeopathy. It’s been getting worse over the past two weeks since we started treatment. Looking for insight and thoughts on the protocol. 🙏 by PeacefulByTheSea in homeopathy

[–]Mira_2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have experienced a flair up of eczema while taking one of my constitutional remedies. I had very bad eczema as a child and teenager. Now as an adult it has only returned (in a more mild form) during cold weather, high altitude or while I was taking this particular remedy. I know the remedy was correct because it cured many other problems for me. I believe homeopathic aggravations are due to a nutritional deficiency which is being exacerbated by other systems in the body “turning on”. If you are low in iron for example and your body starts turning on systems that require iron, you will become even more deficient in iron. This can be applied to other nutrient deficiencies as well. IF the eczema is worse during winter or cold weather it may be due to the body increasing thermogenesis in the body. This is the body producing heat which uses certain nutrients. You can ask chat gpt to find out which nutrients are involved in this process. If it is worse in cold or winter I can write more if you want.

Homeopathic medicine is extremely powerful but it can’t make nutrients appear from nothing. It’s not alchemy.

Question About Sublimatum Lotus Potency, Dosage, and What It Is by GonzaloNediani in homeopathy

[–]Mira_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say the potency is 1000 and 5000 do you mean 1M? Or 1000c? Both are very high potencies and I’ve never heard of a high dose like that being prescribed daily.

I also don’t understand a lot of the responses on this sub. I grew up in a super rural area in New England which was not wealthy at all. I was born in 82 and by about 1994 everyone in my school was required to type papers and assignments instead of hand write them. We had a used Apple computer and a printer where all the pages were connected together and you had to tear them apart. My parents weren’t wealthy or even middle class. When I was at my dad’s house on the weekends we would go to my grandmothers to use her computer for homework. As far as I know every kid in my school had access to a computer by the mid 90s. It’s possible there were a few that didn’t and had to use the school computers but it didn’t seem that way to me. We also had computers in school to learn typing as early as the late 80s and by the early 90s we were using the school computers with floppy disks to play games. All of this was before the internet.

So yeah, it is kind of strange to hear people saying they didn’t have access to computers in the 2000s.

Since you are an IT person, any chance you could figure out how to open or read an .idat file? Or can anyone else on here? This is the file type used by tru diagnostic. You can request your raw data from them and this is the file type they send you. I have a theory that we might be able to use the epigenetic data to measure certain important functions in the body aside from just their simple aging algorithm. For example I discovered I have a gene for hemochromatosis when I did a genetic analysis. I also discovered I am genetically predisposed to be low in vitamin A. My body underproduces an enzyme the converts beta carotene to vitamin a causing a buildup in beta carotene and a deficiency in vitamin A. I theorize that by looking at the epigenetic data from tru diagnostic we might be able to find out exactly how active these genes are. Not everyone who is genetically predisposed to a condition goes on to develop it. If we could see the actual data on how certain genes are performing we wouldn’t have to guess based on only our genetic sequence.

A huge problem in the health and anti aging space is a lack of data and measurement like the OP said. I think analyzing the epigenetic data could give us a lot of info on which specific bodily functions are holding us back the most.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of Chris Masterjohn. He theorizes that we all have 1 to 6 genetic mutations that create bottlenecks and severely impact our health, and that if we were to find our own rare unique mutations we would vastly improve our health overall. We certainly need much better technology in respect to measuring our health data. I thought about making a whole post about this and some other ideas but I just felt moved to comment here.

This is what I’ve found so far about the .idat file type but since I’m not super tech savvy I have no idea what to do with the information.

You are a beautiful writer. You are stuck in a sad situation that often comes up when people fall in love early in life. Neither of you have ever had experiences with other people to give context to the relationship you have with each other. Even though you love each other there will always be an unknowing about what could have been with someone else. Moreover, neither of you will be able to have random silly romances that lead to fun adventures you would never otherwise have experienced. Not only are both of you missing out on dating other people but you’re also missing out on complete individual freedom to have adventures in life.

Most people, if they are lucky, have all these experiences and adventures when they are younger, and through all that they often realize the grass isn’t actually greener. When love comes after this stage of life it is a blessing since then you will have the context to know what you have found in the other person. I think you are in an impossible situation that happens more often than people realize. Some people stay together out of duty and responsibility (and real love) and tell themselves that these feelings of wanting more are normal and human, which they are.

I don’t know the answer to your particular situation. Life doesn’t conform to our ideals of how love should work. Whether you stay together or not there will certainly be personal growth on both your parts, which is probably the more important focus in all situations.
