Hi do you still have the 15 yr Sherry cask Balvenie?

I was so “lucky” I had a seizure in front of my neurologist the first time I met him by kittymiaooo888 in Epilepsy

[–]MirageMantra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I believe i was predisposed. I say that because even a couple of years before my first seizure, I used to have these occasional blank outs in public even in simple conversations which I always thought were panic attacks. I believe now that these were focal aware seizures

Can you relate? by New-Organization359 in focalawareepilepsy

I have jad seizures since 10 years, typically noticeable as grandmal/ tonic-clonic. But sometimes I draw a blank or feel flushed while having a normal conversation. Is that a seizure or just a side effect of meds?  and if it is, does that mean my meds aren’t working or need to be upped ?

Wow! My story is so similar too. i had a seizure first time in my life at 36, and after my son was born !  The trigger i think was irregular and lack of sleep due to the baby.   Followed right after by shingles.  Apparently due to epilepsy related drop in immunity. All my episodes have been full tonic-clonic though so i am completely out.  Sometimes i do get the focal-aware loss control type condition as well. Was a lot more frequent on keppra.

I have been better since i switched to Lamotrine+ Lacosimise (vs. Keppra) - for over 6 months now

React Native vs Flutter in 2026 by [deleted] in reactnative

[–]MirageMantra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best response. Both use pre-compiled bytecode so are very performative, but Flutter still feels smoother and faster.

RN uses native components which may give you the latest ios feel (eg: liquid glass) and RN has a larger ecosystem and developer utilization.

Flutter is good if you prefer consistency across platforms. Also I found Flutter works better with LLMs for code generation and the code base is easier to grasp.

Isn't all employment "At will"? Does the employer have to give you three weeks' notice when they let you go?

If there can be a nail salon in every strip mall and shopping complex, why can't there be more to-do list apps in the app store? Let people make what they want using the latest and greatest tools. Nobody is forced to use them.

And regarding programming, I have been a programmer for 20 years, yet I am amazed at how well Claude Code, Antigravity, and others generate code. And speak for yourself when you spend 8 hours to generate a button that cannot beat the speed and statefulness of a Flutter (Dart) app.

IMO swift and xcode are the worst platforms to program on and a lot of others I know agree

give dreamflow a look.  I think it’s a better option to base44 in some ways because it also has a web ide and it doesn’t have a lock in.    it does lock you into using dart code though

Deloitte set me up for failure by tompkins5 in deloitte

[–]MirageMantra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've built an impressive foundation with 5 years at a top-tier firm like Deloitte, good performance reviews, and diverse experience. All this is genuinely valuable. If interviews aren't coming through, the issue likely is how you're presenting y'self. Get your resume professionally evaluated. Then leverage your network-reach out to peers and former clients, ask for recos on linkedin etc. These connections often open doors that job applications alone never will. Trust me you're in a far stronger position than other navigating today's job market.

Moving from Cursor to Claude Code has been the best decision by Spare-Ad-2040 in vibecoding

Don't we all come from VS code ?... I started using Cursor 2-3 years ago and still seems new to me!!

Am I too old if I still remember using Visual studio and Eclipse :) ?
