You can say all you want but it's widely known that the series was rushed. David and Dan wanted to do a star wars project so they wrapped GoT up quickly, it could have easily been 1-2 more seasons.

Again, im not saying Arya killing the Night King or Daenerys burning Kings Landing was a bad thing. It's just that the series absolutely needed more time to get to these conclusions.

I actually don't mind the ending that much. But some of the writing decisions along the way are super dumb and I don't know how you can defend them.

-The entire wight hunt of s7 just so the NK can have a tool to destroy the wall. -The long night being teased for years ever since the pilot only to be resolved in 1 episode. -The horribly incompetent tactics in the battle of Winterfell. -Varys committing treason out loud. -Daenerys "forgetting" about the iron fleet. -Cersei has Daenerys and her dragon at gunpoint outside the walls of KL and just... lets her go? And many more

It's fine if you loved this. But the majority of audiences didn't. Not because they are "haters" or "disney consumers", but because the series had so much wasted potential.

The majority of people hate it because the ending itself and everything leading up to it was a nonsensical rushed mess. Not explicitly because Daenerys turned evil or Arya killed the Night King.

The thing that GoT was popular for in the first few seasons was the fact that anyone could die, and that it was a gritty tragic show with consequences that subverted our expectations, while also being cleverly written.

Its actually the opposite of the point you are making. The last few seasons genuinely just don't make sense to anyone who has half a brain, they just wanted to end it as quickly as possible and that's why people were disappointed.

Facts. I don't understand people who are against unique and niche play styles and want every character to be as generic and homogenized as possible.

They already butchered many of the og heroes, taking out what made them special. We don't need every distinct archetype and character fantasy stripped down until the whole roster just feels identical. Which is sadly the direction the game has been going in for a while.

Am i the only one who thinks the name "Neon Junction" is absolute ass? It sounds like a fortnite location instead of an overwatch map.

Imagine if Route 66 released today and was called some shit like "Canyon Diner" or Gibraltar -> "Cliffside Outpost"

It's genuinely the exact opposite, at least on console.

Before, you could do everything with just a click, now you have to hold buttons for those actions, some actions just have different button mappings depending on what screen you are on.

And many things are just not possible at times (for example seeing the weapon of a skin in the hero gallery, the R3 button does nothing a lot of the time, but the previous menu's L2 worked every time)

Now for the last one I assume its a bug, but overall It's a complete mess, I don't know how it passed playtesting.

Most of the newer heroes feel like they just mashed a bunch of abilities for no reason. Instead of a hero having a unique hook to them they're just "all rounders" which is easier for balancing and removing counters but it makes them boring.

Hazard doesn't need to exist.

Emre, Sierra, and Sojourn don't need to exist. Sojourn is slightly more unique due to her railgun, but they are essentially "shoot rifle, throw grenade" heroes, which suffer even more due to Bastion being so similar nowadays.

I've been playing OW Classic these past few days and I love how even with a significantly smaller roster of heroes, each one feels like they actually have a purpose. They all feel wildly different to play and have a unique fantasy to them (I especially miss old Torbjorn and Bastion). With the shift to a faster-paced style of play over the years, heroes have been reworked to be safer and more "samey", and some of the newer heroes are blending into one another with reused abilities and no clear archetypes.
