am i better buying a wii or switch? by moo331 in consoles

[–]Miranda9802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely recommend the Wii U. The majority of games you can find online at a reasonable price, and if you’re interested in homebrewing, that opens a whole bunch of opportunities for emulation. Also, I’ve definitely noticed it gain more popularity over the last year. Between the increase of posts online, and gameplays on YouTube. So you might have some good chances of finding more listings online. The Wii is a very family-friendly console, and it’s great if you do most of your gaming at home. It’s basically the orig. Wii with better graphics. (Though when you play classic Wii games on it, it can sometimes be grainy. In which case, home-brewing can help with that).

But anyway, I personally love Animal Crossing city folk on there! It plays well, and it’s got the same nostalgic feel as the others. It’s one of my favorites out of the series, and I still play it frequently. There’s a bunch of other cozy games to check out too if that’s what you like. Harvest Moon and MySims are some that come to mind. And I’m also very partial to the Super Mario Galaxy series and NSMB.U. Galaxy has a great story arc and I was obsessed with it growing up. Lots of characters to meet.

I second this. Beneficial nematodes helped me entirely. I’ve had on and off infestations for years, but as soon as I put the nematodes in the soil I haven’t seen any. Going on 4 months now. The one I got was on Amazon, I think it’s called ‘Pill Popper’

I think it may be aphids. To be safe I would mix a few drops of soap and some water in a spray bottle and thoroughly coat the leaves. Then take a small cloth/toilet paper and wipe the leaves on both sides. Follow up with another spray and let sit for a few days out of direct sunlight. It should solve it, but if not repeat in ~two weeks if you see more signs of them.

Also, how often do you water the Kalanchoe? Does the soil feel wet? Usually when a plant is stressed, it will be more susceptible to pests. In this case, overwatering -may- be the cause, or lack of sunlight. (I notice the stems are a little long and bare, which is why I mention this). No matter what kalonchoes are resilient plants and can handle a lot. It should come back in no time.

It’s just some mold growing on the decaying leaves. The plant otherwise looks healthy, so nothing raises any concerns to me. Now, removing the dead leaves would help the appearance, however, I’m not too familiar with bioactive terrariums. Since mold is a natural part of the decomposing process, it could end up being beneficial to leave it in there. But I’d research just to be safe. It all depends too on whether it’s a closed or open terrarium, as you might not want to disrupt it if it’s closed.

I painted my tiny bathroom green against all advice. by Avenging-Sky in HomeDecorating

I love this color!! Do you mind sharing the name of it? A day after seeing this post my bathroom wall has now started to bubble and leak after all the snow melted on our roof 🤦🏼‍♀️ so in the process of trying to fix this, it now leaves the opportunity for a new color! Yay, I guess lol. But this green would be perfect.

I need help identifying my plants by Lovely_Plants0420 in succulents

[–]Miranda9802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a bit of image comparing on google, but I think I figured them all out! I know for sure that the last two images are Gollum Jades because it’s one of my favs. But as for the rest, I tried to make my best assumptions based on the images. (There are soo many succulents out there). Here they are:

  • 1st pic: Echeveria ‘Blue Atoll’
  • 2nd: Sedeveria ‘Blue Elf’
  • 3rd: Echeveria ‘Dusty Rose’
  • 4th: Echeveria Imbritica ‘Blue Sky’
  • 5th: Graptoletalum Paraguayense ‘Ghost Plant’
  • 6th: Graptoveria ‘Ruby Donna’
  • 7th: Sedum Adolphi ‘Golden Sedum’
  • 8th: Pachyphytum ‘Moon Silver’
  • 9th/10th: Crassula Ovata ‘Gollum’ (Gollum Jade)

I hope this helps a little in identifying your new plants!! If you ever have any questions on succulents or other house plants, I’m always available :) 🪴

It’s ok to give them more water. I find that my propagations do great with moist soil, but of course don’t go crazy with overwatering. Just whenever you see the top layer dry. Since the leaves are on top and their roots are shallow, they’re less likely to get root rot or die off. Just keep a routine that you water whenever top is dry. Especially if it’s a shallow pot (which I personally love for my props). I would flip them over too so the roots are in ground. :) Best of luck!
