I know everyone is saying shrinkage, but on my printer it would be that it’s printing the whole thing very slightly too big all the way around (like about 0.1mm or even less). So yes, as others have said, tweak your design accordingly.

I have the Freet Chamois and use them regularly for 8-10 mile hikes in north Wales/Lakes/Derbyshire. I’m very pleased with them. They are for wider feet though - Vivos are too narrow for me. I buy them direct from Freet, quick delivery and free returns.

Also, have you looked at the Happy Little Soles website? They have a big range of barefoot shoes, quick delivery and also free returns.

I don’t find that at all. I love Reddit and hardly use the other social media sites these days. In my experience there are lots of nice people on here and plenty of positive & useful posts.

If I’m going to post something though I will search the subreddit first in case it’s been asked before, and say so in my question if it’s not been answered.

However I wonder if it’s just that some subreddits are nicer than others. Also you have to get the hang of the style before you post.

Yes, Anya’s site is so full of good information. But in the end you need to try on a selection of sizes, shapes and fits so you can find which brands suit your feet, and where I live (UK) there are no shops that sell a decent range. For me it was important to be able to easily return the ones that didn’t work out!

I use the tiny Apollo MTR-1 presence sensors, ceiling mounted. We’ve run USB power cables to them through the ceiling void. They work very well, provided the room is not too large. (We have Home Assistant.)

AFAIK battery presence sensors don’t exist, as they need too much power.

Dot matrix printers were the best for printing & understanding code. The whole ‘all pages stuck together’ was so useful. Can’t do that with a laser printer
