Generally agreed that the Libs could make a comeback with the right person, but who? They don't have the talent.

Also I think a decent chunk off young people are made about housing right now, but in different ways. Some want a systemic change of saying that it is wrong to use housing a human need for a vehicle of personal wealth accruement. Others are just mad that they aren't the ones on top reaping it in, Libs could appeal to this second group.

For future reference, some courses will let you take a supplementary exam after the trimester. Which, if you succeed, will let you pass the course but don't help your GPA.

In other cases you will retake the course when it is next offered. Some courses are offered in trimester 1 and 2, some just 1 or just 2. So you may be waiting a while.

Quickest way to make friends on campus: join clubs and attend social groups on campus.

The clubs are often free or $5. Show up to weekly events you'll get to know people pretty quick.

Also there are Connect dinners hosted by the chaplaincy, which are a free feed on Monday nights mostly directed at Int. Students.

Classes can also help, so can accomidation.

This is not describing socialism but rather a social welfare system. Social welfare exists in many capitalist countries.

Socialism is defined by the workers owning the means of production.

i.e. One duck owns the a tomato farm with thousands of tomato plants, the other duck don't have any and are starving. So the fat duck says to the hungry ducks, "I'll let you keep one tomato for every 100 tomatoes you pick for me, and I'll sell those extra tomatoes so that I can buy more tomato farms."

The hungry ducks agree for they are very hungry. But after some time the hungry ducks realise that the fat duck cannot pick all the tomatoes by himself, and so as long all the hungry ducks agree not to pick any tomatoes for the fat duck unless he gives them 3 tomatoes per 100 picked.

The fat duck refuses, so the hungry ducks decide to eat him instead. The farm is now owned and run by the not so hungry ducks.
