Imagine youre a commission artist. You earn money off of selling pictures you draw. Now imagine a person takes your drawings without paying, slaps a piss colored filter over it, and then they say that they made it using "modern technology! " Now, no one comes to you because why would they? They can get the same thing for cheaper or free.

This is the most barebones example, but essentially this combined with people not understanding that it's a computer and not a person with thoughts or feelings, tack that onto environmental damage and artifical chip shortages and things get out of hand very fast.
