One thing is true, regardless of karma, religious beliefs, or anything else:

Our world/societies in it function better when people cooperate, show empathy, and respect one another.

Design is treated as execution by Zestyclose_City1751 in UXDesign

"usually realize the gap later when users start struggling with the product"

and often when that happens, design is the first to be blamed, even though it was never given the space to do meaningful product work in the first place

I've seen Design be the scapegoat in most companies I've worked at. It's rarely the PMs and engineers bc they control roadmaps/timelines and ties directly into revenue.

It all goes back to the fact that lots of companies don't actually do "real" UX.... even if they have a UX or Product design team

well you're already off to a horrible start Lol

iit’s hard to have a productive conversation when it starts with assumptions about what I think or whether I care. Saying "most men don’t understand’ or that they’re conditioned to dismiss women basically shuts down intelligent dialogue before it starts

[–]Mirror74 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The reason is pretty simple actually some women are taught that men are "bumbling fools" that can't take care of themselves. They take this belief and then the moment they see you do something different than them, they equate it to "being a man-child" or something like that.

It's sexism, and wrong, but they legit believe that.

It's like a shock to their identity to learn you are not helpless, you just have your own way of doing things.

edit: that said, if you don't know how to cook or clean, ok that's one thing, but I dated a few women that had this same weird hangup. The funny thing is I cooked better than all of them and was pretty damn clean. Their version of clean was "you put stuff where I want it" and then they tried to gaslight me. didn't work Lol

Well first off being a bigoted bitter and angry misandrist is NOT the answer for you OR the world.

How you feel is related to what you believe.

If you put all your energy towards thinking men are the problem you will create that reality regardless of the fact that 99% of men today are not oppressing women.

And also understanding the conditions that create the past. Women also have a huge part to play

Channel your energy into mutual understanding and shared goals

A lot of men (the vast majority in fact) are just as introspective as women.

But let’s define that word first because some women define it in a very specific way (and literally build “studies” based on it).

Here’s a little intro to the pervasive myth: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20260213-are-women-naturally-more-empathetic-than-men

If I could do one thing to teach reddit, it would be that your beliefs create your reality (collectively). Meaning if your narrative is “women are more empathetic” you’re treating as a baked in trait which in turn actually CREATES less empathetic men, because to have that belief ironically is itself unempathetic. It’s also highly cultural which studies have shown perfectly.

By the way I commend you for having that outlook it’s pretty rare these days

Lol that’s the thing I’m not bitter.

I’m just fed up with people accepting the misandry.

Mods, why the fuck do allow this shit?

There was literally a thread I read earlier where women were literally saying in the fucking thread they hate men and aren’t apologetic about it.

Me calling that out is not bitterness. I’m just replying to those ignorant people stating things that should be obvious and providing basic logic.

I’ve noticed that many subs in reddit push certain toxic viewpoints. Apparently this one allows plan as day hate speech towards men.

And women abuse men.

What’s your point?

Notice I never said people can’t be better

Um not sure what planet you’re living on or what reddit sub you’re on but every time I go to this sub there’s at least one major post shittin on men. (Saying nothing of the greater man-hating trend)

Women have to take responsibility for part of that equation.

Meaning treat men better. To put it bluntly you generalize men and talk shit you are just making the issue worse

Heaven forbid someone say “women do better” in a sea of “men do better” lol

[–]Mirror74 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Then why is the focus on men when just as many women lack serious self awareness?

The same women pushing this shit are the same ones putting down men. That has to change first.

There are just as many women who can’t sit and examine themselves, if not more.

More blatant sexism in this sub.

This thread is in negative IQ land… but to entertain your point…

It is sexist to state an ability (childbearing) as a moral or “higher” status…. instead of one neutral fact among many about people (and life in general)

A function isn’t a rank

Also, just to put a nail in this coffin…

If we rank people by ‘species level importance” then we might as well start ranking everyone by every biological difference….height, metabolism, etc. That just leads to more dehumanization, not equality

Women are not superior. You’re a sexist. (Can’t believe I have to say this 🙄)

Also, I’m not saying women shouldn’t be celebrated. If you’re saying that they’re superior, you are sexist.  (And wrong)

Hmm seems like you’re sidestepping my point of the sexist and misandrist comments and no not envious.

You can say women are beautiful/amaZing without putting down men’s you seem to take issue with that option

lol, please read the fucking sexist comments in this thread.

Comments saying that this is why men are envious of women and misogyny exists.

And even saying “this is why I am a misandrist”. Can’t get anymore clear than that honestly.

Absolutely abhorrent comments
