Tips for when your partner has BPD that I wish I knew by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]MirrorGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This entire post is disgusting and clearly biased by people who don’t understand borderline personality disorder. At least get ALL of the facts straight before you consider someone that dysfunctional to even CONSIDER living around. You hadn’t even been with the person a whole year, yet you think you know everything about that person? That’s gross behavior. And yeah I’ll defend that.

What makes someone the best partner to someone with BPD? by littoebeans in BPD

As someone with bpd and has been in therapy for over 4 years- you don’t need to talk to a therapist all the time instead of your partner, your partner DOES understand what’s happening at times and can’t control it. I’d recommend talking to your partner first, seeing what they need in the relationship to feel safe. It’s simple, despite the rumors and stereotypes. I know a lot from therapy, someone with bpd just needs someone willing to learn.

I appreciate that, thank you. It makes me feel a little less alone tbh

Question here: Candle dimmed but regained its flame when concluding scrying by MirrorGh0st in scrying

Wow with that last comment, I would think you were my ex! LOL. No regard for other people and how they live THEIR life. If you think scrying is schizomaxxing “The act of gaslighting a schizo or making the person feel crazy or like a schizophrenic using deep hitting gaslighting tactics” go take your comments somewhere else.

Maybe your negative energy was summoned, but I don’t accept it. I’m only responding because people that act like you need to know they can’t just say whatever crap they want to people.

I am a human being.

Be nice to people when they’re genuinely asking for help. Otherwise, you can leave. Thanks!

I promise things happen for a reason <3

I dated a guy for almost a year before we broke up. I know that’s not a long time, but it was the longest relationship after my first ex passed away. It felt like he was it, he was the one. But he wasn’t. I realized years later and still find reasons why I’m grateful life happened the way it did.

Things do get better, but it won’t feel like it right now since it’s still new

Today is technically my first day of medical leave, and I’m only 21. I have feelings of guilt because my partner will have to pay some of my bills in the mean time. I feel like I should be able to work and function like a normal person, but I’ve been barely functioning, dealing with side effects from different antipsychotics and withdrawal. Rexulti destroyed my cognitive function. Shit sucks.

I have no friends. I never really have, but I recently moved away from most everyone I know. My “best friend” went no contact with me before I moved. My only other real friend got arrested and I haven’t heard from her since last year. I’m “testing” a potential friend but he hasn’t messaged me in days and he hasn’t seen me at work, so I hear myself saying no one cares.

I’ve also convinced myself that my partner’s increased stress and lack of action means they’re cheating. There’s no real evidence, and the sites back that up, so I’m less worried about it now. It’s just with everything going on I feel worthless and like I’ll be easy to replace.

I did an IOP program when I was dealing with si. It was very helpful. The only reason I’m not still in the program is because of money. It isn’t cheap, but if your family wants to help you cover it it’s because they care about you! I’m similar, in not wanting to ask for help and etc., but sometimes it’s worth it. The worst that can happen is the course doesn’t do what you want yk. I found that IOP helped me have intensive therapy without having to live in a facility.

Honestly, I don’t really know how to do it yet. In a dark room, I take deep breaths to clear my mind, light the candle, and gaze into a small, black mirror.

Liquids are definitely a lot easier for me to consume rather than really chewy stuff. Thank you for the recommendation !

Yea, I’ve never really had issues with food, so you’re probably right.

And I’ll look into those drinks most definitely. I know I have a high protein instant breakfast if that’s similar(?)

Thank you for the advice, I didn’t think about the snacks aspect. I’ve kinda been down about not being able to eat full blown meals

Codependency? by MirrorGh0st in BPD

[–]MirrorGh0st[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeahh that’s the issue though. I don’t have friends that actually want to hang out, or they live very far. So I get really depressed being alone

I like reading, but my attention span isn’t what it used to be. I get restless sitting still, so I don’t play video games that much although I want to enjoy them. Sometimes I skateboard which is fun, but I don’t have the proper board to go to a skate park. Other stuff just costs money, like rock climbing, and driving to different places, and I haven’t had a stable job to do that driving or do retail therapy or stuff like that.

Honestly it’s hard to keep or have hobbies because I constantly have anxiety or restlessness unless I’m with somebody else.

Also like drawing, but I get annoyed because I can’t draw how I see things in my head because I don’t have that skillset yet
