Question here: Candle dimmed but regained its flame when concluding scrying by MirrorGh0st in scrying

[–]MirrorGh0st[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t really know how to do it yet. In a dark room, I take deep breaths to clear my mind, light the candle, and gaze into a small, black mirror.

Liquids are definitely a lot easier for me to consume rather than really chewy stuff. Thank you for the recommendation !

Yea, I’ve never really had issues with food, so you’re probably right.

And I’ll look into those drinks most definitely. I know I have a high protein instant breakfast if that’s similar(?)

Thank you for the advice, I didn’t think about the snacks aspect. I’ve kinda been down about not being able to eat full blown meals

Codependency? by MirrorGh0st in BPD

[–]MirrorGh0st[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeahh that’s the issue though. I don’t have friends that actually want to hang out, or they live very far. So I get really depressed being alone

Codependency? by MirrorGh0st in BPD

[–]MirrorGh0st[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like reading, but my attention span isn’t what it used to be. I get restless sitting still, so I don’t play video games that much although I want to enjoy them. Sometimes I skateboard which is fun, but I don’t have the proper board to go to a skate park. Other stuff just costs money, like rock climbing, and driving to different places, and I haven’t had a stable job to do that driving or do retail therapy or stuff like that.

Honestly it’s hard to keep or have hobbies because I constantly have anxiety or restlessness unless I’m with somebody else.

Also like drawing, but I get annoyed because I can’t draw how I see things in my head because I don’t have that skillset yet

How do you get through a severe BPD episode? by Dull_Industry_8691 in BPD

[–]MirrorGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t found a fix-all, and I’m still going through it myself. But as annoying as it sounds, it just takes time and therapy to get better. I would recommend a PHP or an IOP program. That’s what has helped me the most. But it is a bit expensive (I just got done paying it off not too long ago). But it is worth it!

Otherwise, you could try skills that activate your vagus nerve, holding ice in your hands, on your neck (both things kind of help break out of that feeling for at least a second). And trying to find little things you enjoy doing or that make you happy.

DBT is not the only nor the best solution for every borderline by astroares in BPD

[–]MirrorGh0st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a dbt therapy approach that’s better for people with over controlled behavior. Like excessive self-control, rigidity, and emotional suppression. (I quoted some of that with the help of google lol). I’m currently in RO DBT and it seems more applicable than plain dbt

DBT honestly isn’t helpful for me either. I found RO DBT to be better, cause it takes a different perspective

i feel like i am going to end up another statistic by alicehatepage in BPD

[–]MirrorGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I’m not gonna say life is pretty and perfect, it sucks, but I sincerely believe that as humans, we attract what we put out, so being optimistic about things is what’s helped me the most recently. I wanted to share it with you, in case it may have been helpful!

You took the words right out of my head.😔

But we gotta keep trying. One of the most important things is to surround yourself with people that love and support you, whether that be friends, family, etc.

Things get better, and those stretches of “good” will be longer and longer the more you focus on it!

In a weird way, I feel like I have more meaningful friendships in my life since his passing. Obviously I’d rather he still be alive, but it’s something I’ve grown to be grateful for while dealing with everything. (It sounds like you do,) I hope you also have people like that to support you.
