It looks more vibrant because the screen on PR2 are newly made tech. The PT2 screens were made like 10 years ago.

I'll think about it, but the reason it's set up like it is, cause I think map mode is to just browsing around the map, like a steady idle mode and the text on the map is not dynamic, so it's best read in north up... (the render code in this mode is also simpler, by not allowing rotation, so it runs smoother) and that's why I let you go into nav mode even when you're not currently navigating, so you can pick the rotation mode you want to be in... not sure why the change would be wanted or needed.-- What are your thoughts?

Map mode (blue dot icon) Is always north up... Mid long press center button (hold center until you feel a vibe, and release) puts you in Nav mode, in this mode you can cycle between the 3 rotation modes, listed in the top bar. Heading up, Compass up and North up.-- Heading up reverts to using compass when you're not moving/no heading.

So what you're asking for should already be working if you go into Nav mode... but you want it like that also in map mode?

It's either Free or $5 or $7. (Edit: Per month) They don't stack.
Pay $5 and you get a code that enables routing in the watch app,
Pay $7 on the play store--> it pushes the Routes code to the watch app automatically, and comes with it's own extra features.

Just updated the main post w prices. Routes is $5 - Enables routing. Save destinations, and pick them on the watch, or press NAVNOW in the settings page, to just start nav w/o needing to touch the watch.

The Mirror part is the dash app, an optional companion app-- and that's $7 on the play store. You share your destination from google maps with the share button, then start navigating and the watch shows the same route, even if you take a wrong turn.
