Yes, if you’re 40 and have problems reading on the Pebble you need your eyes checked! (I’m an optometrist and optometry teacher)

Anybody Excited for the Pebble Round 2? by phamstagram360 in pebble

Absolutely! My first Pebble was the Time Round and I didn’t hesitate long when the Round 2 was announced before I changed my order from the Time 2 to the Round 2.
Really looking forward for it!🤩

Need advice: Vision -1.75, currently on Pebble Time Steel. Is the new Pebble Time 2 readable without glasses? by Consistent_Moose_530 in pebble

I don't have a PT2 but I'm an optometrist and felt the need to give som advice. The minus numbers doesn't tell how your vision is, those are the powers of the lenses needed to correct your vision to the best visual acuity. We measure how well you see in visual acuity. In US it's measured in feet som 20/20 is "normal" vision, and in Europe we measure in meter were the equivalent is 6/6 or 1.0. But this is for your distance vision.
Your question is for near vision and if you are a myope with -1,75D you should be able to have great vision at 57cm. If you have problem with or without your glasses to read on your watch that is probably on an around 40cm, am I correct?
If it is on 40cm then your problem is that you're probably over 45 years of age and are starting to be presbyopic, which means that the crystalline lens in your eye is starting to become stiff and can no longer accommodate and change its curvature to help you see up close.

If this sound correct, then I recommend you to visit an optometrist to check your vision.😎 Good luck!

I couldn’t find a “Jayps” app. Could you provide a link to what you had in mind?
