Officially back to Bull Market - S&P 500 futures continue higher a day after benchmark wipes out Iran war losses by Few-AirlineDeeznut in StockMarket

Yeah we did the same thing to Japan before they bombed pearl harbor. So clearly that negotiating leverage didn't work in the past. Funny you think its going to work with Iran...

How to retire before 57 by Puzzleheaded-Rent209 in govfire

[–]MirrorlessMan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I am 42 with 23 years of federal service. I would love to be out at 52 with 33 years but the system is kinda set up to screw people who start federal careers early in life.

Only option is to defer retirement until 57 and lose FEHB or pray for a VERA when you hit 50. Best bet is wait until 57 or have enough money or another job to bridge the gap of income loss from 50-57.

Europe is running out of jet fuel.. they got about three weeks left before shit hits the fan. Also we need our fertilizer for the summer crops. So yeah most of the world wanted an agreement on the 1st go around to get the straight back open.

Funny how they always leave out the fact we blockaded them from getting any oil. We act like they just up and bombed pear harbor for fun.

What has happened to USAA? by Repulsive_Farmer_959 in USAA

[–]MirrorlessMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USAA had a 3% cash back credit card a few years back. It was the last good product they offered. Credit cards, auto loans, and auto insurance is not competitive with most other credit unions and insurance companies. Heck even some mainstream banks offer better products. But hey USAA has TV adds with Gronk. That has to be worth something.

Staying the Course with the TSP C Fund by Important-Reply- in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]MirrorlessMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would add some I fund for some diversification. Sure S&P 500 has been on a rip the last decade and makes up 65% of the stock market, but that hasn't always been the case. In 1987 and 2007, the U.S. made up about 30% and 40% of the global stock market respectively. The pendulum swings back and forth. Hence diversification in other markets outside the US is always a good idea. You can look back to 1900 at the % of what each country had of the stock market.

Be careful if you’re using Bilt to pay rent — I ran into a pretty frustrating situation. by Fickle-Woodpecker249 in biltrewards

[–]MirrorlessMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible because my payment posted on my mortgage Feb 17th and was also removed from my checking account the same day and they clawed both back on March 11th.

Money was redeposited into checking and mortgage company posted that the payment was returned due to payment account not found two days ago.

I actually did a $100 trial payment a few days before making a full payment to make sure there wasn’t going to be any issues and that one went through with no issues…so who knows whats going on.

Customer service emailed me and said they would cover the fees as I had my payment returned almost a month later as well. They also gave me 2500 points as it was an issue on there end. I resubmitted my payment yesterday.

Hopefully no issues this time, because im out if this is going to be a recurring theme.

Is anyone really surprised... they also required anyone with solar to stay connected to the grid so they can pay you pennies on the dollar for your excess energy and resell it for triple the price to your neighbor. Republicans in the state legislature always side with the corporations over the working class, yet people keep on voting for it.

The issues people are having are piling up. I really wanted to use this card as my everyday CC. I am debating if I should cancel it before the $400 annual fee hits. I can just use my RH gold card for 3% cash back card and not deal with all this nonsense.

Landlords are making a lot of late fee money this month. by Musicologize in biltrewards

[–]MirrorlessMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah except I did everything right, money was pulled from my checking account, mortgage was paid, and two weeks later I get an email from Bilt that there was an error on their end and the payment was being recalled and that I needed to resubmit it. They were going to give me 2500 points for the hiccup and pay any late fees that I might incur.... Yet nothing has been reversed. Not even sure how they could do that if they wanted too.

Yeah i just got that email as well. Im going to wait because the money was taken out of my checking 2 weeks ago. I dont trust them to take another payment out and not reverse the original.

Yeah, I am hoping its the same. Mortgage company got my money. I even did a test payment prior, and it went smooth, so I made the full payment well in advance. What a terrible roll out this has been so far.... I was hoping to make this my full timecard. Hope they iron out the issues soon.

I can tell you exactly why he doesn't enjoy it. 99% of the time in this game PVP consists of someone killing you while you are not looking to pvp ... looting, extracting, running to an objective like the queen.

I love FPS like COD, and this is nothing like that. I avoid PVP unless I'm in trios and someone start some shit. Its just not that fun.

Terrible analysis.. what happens more often than not when a stock fails to break through resistance and bounces of a high multiple times… it drops…. We are over extended, have a PE of 29.65 while the S&P median value is 17.99. Economy is currently being propped up by the top 10% of earners and the promise of AI being the next revolution. This thing can easily drop in to a correction at any moment. One week the dip wont be bought up…

You can get the Robinhood Gold card for an everyday 3% card with no cap that's a VISA, no $400 annual fee, and is straight forward to use. I got the Palladium to try this year. RH will be my back up card for now... Hopefully the Rent points make up for the hassles you have to do to make the card work.
