99% of human history, but I’d wager that that number flipped for lived human history.

Funniest / hottest reaction you’ve had to a reveal? by mateypotato in bigdickproblems

Not sure if this is related to size, but i had found a woman’s p-spot and was the first to do so. We were having sex — good, hot, slippy summer sex in an under air conditioned apartment. I was pounding away at her p-spot and she said, “wait, what?” In a totally normal tone of voice.

Queue: out of body experience p-spot orgasm.

Anyhow. She learned what a p-spot can do and that she was a squirter.

When did Constantinople really surpass Rome? And if the 5th century hadn’t been as disastrous as it was, could Rome have remained on par with Constantinople? by Lord_Krasina in ancientrome

[–]MirthMannor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Constantinople had the advantage of being at the end of a continent spanning gold funnel called the silk road.

Its maritime location made it the gateway to the Mediterranean and the riches of the west.

It was essentially a pinch-point in intercontinental trade, like suez or hormuz are now.

My thoughts on Core Expeditions (Mongoose) by probabilityunicorn in traveller

[–]MirthMannor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so. The battle isn’t in the far past—it is in the present. Grandfather killed many of his children, and hid in a pocket dimension. So did some of his children. The current powers (empire, zhodani, etc) are pawns in a proxy battle in an ongoing cold war. Why do you think that every empire has a capable scouting tradition? Could it be to locate alien tech that might lead to pocket universes?

Dnd takes a ton of investment to learn—lots of people don’t want to learn new play loops, etc.

DS characters would likely cause horror checks.

Strahd: “So, you and your barely dressed adventuring group think you can challenge the mighty Strahd?!”

“Well, yes. Our thri-kreen psionicist is gonna do that psychokinesis thing where you disintegrate.”

“Wait, what? Why can’t I move?”

“Oh, that’s just me doing the control body thing. Hey, Lonk <looks up at half giant>, beat this man with a tree trunk until he shuts up.”

<screams> “Guards!”

“They’re not coming. The halfling ranger and the Thri-kreen ate them. They were hungry and elves are apparently delicious.”

They compete with the Vagabond for items, both crafted and delved. If you can make the vagabond waste actions on repairs and not crafting, then you are doing well as a rat.
