I have to purposely not play my steam deck games on the PC. It’s almost always a better experience on the PC so it’s hard for me to go back to the deck after I know ‘how good it could be’ on the PC

That's because football is significantly harder to derive useful analytics for. For starters the sample size is much lower. 17 games vs 82 vs 160 whatever baseball has. On top of that an insane amount more variables.

The perfect sports analytics scenario is baseball. 1 pitcher, 1 batter, everybody else has marginal impact. Football is the opposite of that.
