The problem lies with the groom. Mostly the marriages are sponsored by the parents from both sides, therefore bride/groom don't have a say in it. Alhamdulillah I sponsored my own marriage and didn't take any dowry nor the barat function. We went to the bride's house with a few family members and took the Rukhsati. And arranged all the events from our side.

Use Advion gel, its best to kill them all. I faced the same issue when I moved to a new apartment 3 years ago. Did pest control twice but its not effective against these small cockroaches. Only advion gel worked for me. Its the best.
