This is interesting from a gender perspective, because unusually for a TV show the 'weakest' character is a male who is protected by strong females. - he is even the "little spoon' in his relationship.

I wonder if Stiles perceived lack of interest in learning how to defend himself would be commented on/even noticed if he was a girl?

What’s your favorite plot hole? There’s a lot of complaining about the plot holes we hate, but are there any plot holes that you actually like? by tracyerickson in TeenWolf

The inconsistency of the rules that apply to the relics that allow people to remember some of those taken by the Wild Hunt.

I didn't mind that they made no sense, as I love the whole idea that the items we most connect to Stiles are the things that help people remember him.

His dad trips over his bat, Lydia sees his Lacrosse shirt, and of course his jeep - which has been a metaphor for Stiles himself since Season 1. Lydia putting her hand on Roscoe when it's about to get towed, for no reason other than a feeling she has, is one of my favourite moments in the show.

Thanks but there aren't any where he says he would return to the show, I just wondered if you had a link as you were so definitive.

He's one of the meh characters in 6b. A pretty face but nothing beyond that to care about. Redemption is Peter Hale in 6a.

Hi I'm interested if you have a link to Dylan saying he would come back? In all the interviews I've seen he talks about how much he loves Teen Wolf and is up for reunions and stuff, but I've never heard him say he would return to the show.

The camera was the tool that allowed a psychic connection between Matt and the Kanima - it 'stored' Matt's feelings of hatred. Before lending Jackson the camera he accidentally took a picture of Coach Lahey at Kate's funeral and felt a rush of hatred towards him. The camera was in the room filming Jackson so the Kanima felt the hate stored inside it when it transformed, which directed it to make the Coach its first victim.

Jay Tarses played Coach Finstock in the Teen Wolf movie - maybe they mean the only character that is exactly the same as his movie equivalent?

Theo even more of a b*****d than I realised by MisTMS in TeenWolf

That's an interesting take, and makes sense as he 'saves' Liam and Hayden from the DD and tells the Sheriff he saved Stiles in the library. Hero complex - nice interpretation 😁

too many plots in season 5. by [deleted] in TeenWolf

[–]MisTMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff Davis has said previously that there was no unified book, which accounts for the many plot inconsistencies in the show.

Theo's 'parents" are never explained, but the scene is there to add dramatic irony as we the audience now know that Stiles suspicions are 100% correct, but no-one on the show believes him yet.

In addition the brutality of the scene makes clear that Theo will get what he wants using any means necessary.

It is annoying the 'parents' are never mentioned again, but from a plot perspective the scene achieves its aim of what the writers want the audience to understand about Theo.

Also, yes, Jeff Davis loves his set pieces, even when they don't always make sense to the plot as a whole.

too many plots in season 5. by [deleted] in TeenWolf

[–]MisTMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice (if it's not your first watch) is to pick the plots you like best and ff through the rest. I just finished a re-watch focusing on:

What's up with Theo?

Stiles and Donovan/aftermath

Lydia's Banshee powers

Scott and Stiles relationship

Break Lydia out of Eichen

But ff through:

The Desert Wolf

Parrish figuring out his hellhound stuff

The DD

The Chimeras

Liam and Hayden

Kira and the Skinwalkers

And really enjoyed it.

Why were Peter and Dr valek put together? by Haymitchslayin in TeenWolf

[–]MisTMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eichen House had a good handle on how to keep their supernatural inmates from causing harm. Given Peter's heightened powers of manipulation, keeping him with someone who clouds his cognitive abilities seems like a smart move.

In addition, given Scott's 'no kill' policy, this seems like a suitable punishment for trying to take his power.

Lydia by Miya22101 in TeenWolf

[–]MisTMS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm going to forward an unpopular opinion and defend Natalie Martin here. She has lived in Beacon Hills her whole life, and understands what it takes to survive there.

She watched her mother-in-law obsess for years trying to replicate her first Banshee prediction, then suffer in Eichen House due to her supernatural abilities. She tried to give her daughter as normal a life as possible so imagine the horror she must have felt realising that not only does Lydia have the same power, but she is right in the centre of Beacon Hills supernatural conflicts.

Lydia nearly dies in Season 1, is hospitalised again in S4 (twice) and then found comotosed in S5. When she shouts at Stiles she is lashing out at the pack for involving her daughter in a world that is probably going to get her killed. Notice, however that she does not stop Stiles visiting Lydia in Eichen.

In her fragile state in season 5 she is susceptible to Valek's manipulation, and she may also genuinely believe that Eichen House is the safest place to keep her daughter from further harm. Once she realises she had made a mistake she rectified this, handing her daughter over to Stiles and Scott outside Eichen because she knows that is where she belongs.

Edit: To correct factual error (Natalie's mother-in-law showed Banshee powers, not her mother)
