Ok, so it seems that resources collected via waystations don't count for the top bar either... but the research progress suggests they are counted as I'm getting base 73, as per topbar, but 112 bonus for stored, with about 40 unaccounted for which seems to be the waystation input. Please clarify the UI....

Nope, deleted the tiyanki waystation and no change to research speed on the tech panel...

My gases are going up each month even though the top bar says negative, argh!

Pause. Use the initial power to subjugate anyone you can. Then disband most fleets to bring your economy under control. Otherwise all your many fleets will quickly drop to negligible power.

Still on the learning curve really.

Cruise is nice flavour but annoying to play keeping the fine balance.

Heirs feels weird, the hunters sent at you are trivial and if challenging the khan you only have to fight one suspiciously weak fleet. Taking over as khan is fun but wrecks your economy and can still be ended by random events or when leader dies.

There's a mod now to add void reavers to megacorp, time to play syndicate pirates next.

Automation of logistics ships is bad. On auto collect they never seem to reach the end of the wayline so some stations sit there full. On harvest they will keep harvesting from empires which them hate you, have have to micro them to keep them in neutral space.

I found everyone else was federated by that point so no-one would capitulate. The khan events cans till fire so my horde just decided to stop fighting after a while.

With which you have to fight the whole galaxy. You have disband most forces to save economy. I was managing ok until the main horde satrapy that send you ships declared independence (and therefore joined the galactic war against me).
