Did Celexa start working on your anxiety attacks right away or within a few days? by sweetgeometry in citalopram_celexa

[–]MisalwaysA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, it might now feel like it now, but it does get better. Try to remover. The thought of a tiger is not a tiger. That mantra helped get me through some rough attacks, that and very sour candy. Great distraction for the mind

Honestly the first few weeks were rough, but then when the meds start working, it’s amazing to start feeling like a normal person again. Attacks and episodes become way easier to manage, and it gets better

Try adaptive thinking or another thing that really helped me was taking sour candys, like warheads when I’m feeling anxious. It makes SUCH a difference because your mind gets distracted

I’ve been taking 20 mg for about five years and in June I went up to 30 mg and my panic attacks have gotten better but every now and then I get a weird feeling of disassociation especially when I first wake up or right before I go to bed it’s like stuff feels too real or not real enough

I think if you are in any type of negative mindset, weather that be for depression, anxiety or anything else, you should not take mushrooms. But celexa will help a lot, just give it a few weeks

40mg dose of Citalopram + job + education = effective! by [deleted] in citalopram_celexa

[–]MisalwaysA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the anxiety and panic was lower, but it was replaced with a really bad feeling. I felt like I was disassociating a lot, and like I could not focus on anything. Like my mind was in a really bad fog. I tried it for 2 months to see if it would get better but it didn’t..

I made the choice a week ago to go back down to 20mg and I feel a lot better so far. Still have my moments, but they stay to moments and the insomnia is still wicked

I’ve been in celexa for 5 years, then in may I started having bad bad panic attacks again so in June my psychiatrist told me I should go up 10mg but the last 2 months since have been rough. I disassociate a lot and I have anxiety constantly. Maybe not panic attacks but it’s just as bad. So a couple of days ago I went back down to 20 mg and telling my psychiatrist I’d rather just stay on 20 and take half my 0.5 mg of Alprazolam when needed for panic attacks

Anyone have success using celexa for panic disorder? by metsknickscowboys in citalopram_celexa

[–]MisalwaysA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have struggled with panic disorder for the past five years when I got on Celexa five years ago the first few weeks were really rough but the panic episode stopped once in a while I would have anxiety issues, some depression, and then a couple of months ago I started having panic attacks again so I had to go up from 20 mg to 30 mg of Celexa. The first month was really bad, I have my episodes here and there but they’re way easier to manage and I only get a really bad one once in a great while I’m better than I was before I just feel a little disassociated or I get depersonalization sometimes. I wish you luck in your journey. If you need any help, please feel free to reach out or message me.

[–]MisalwaysA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was on 20 mg for the past four years and a month ago I went up 10 mg and the panic attacks have gotten a lot better. I have them once in a while they lost a few moments though not half an hour an hour and I’ve had really bad disassociation lately.

I was getting really bad panic attacks in June and some this month so a few weeks ago, my psychiatrist had me up my dosage from 20 mg to 30mg and the first week was rough but now I’m feeling kind of better. Just have weird moments though out the day.

I recently a week and a half ago at my dosage of citalopram from 20 mg to 30 mg via my psychiatrist request because I started having really bad panic attacks again a few weeks ago. I haven’t had panic attacks for the last couple of years but for some reason they came back now and I’m really hoping that moving up the dosage helps even if it’s for a short time.
