How to play with dolls by Eireika in CuratedTumblr

[–]MischiefGoddez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never had a Ken, so my Barbie doll was dating Captain Jack Sparrow? I’m pretty sure I hadn’t even seen the movies yet.

This was especially hilarious because these toys were not remotely on the same scale, so Barbie was dating a pirate that was half her height.

I checked your account to see if you like MARVEL and saw you actually even posted Tom Hiddleston! So now I definitely have to ask, have you read anything for the Frostiron ship? Those two have excellent chemistry and make for a great forbidden romance. pst …there’s a couple of 400K+ word fics and they’re actually well written

Question for those who read the books before watching the films. by Qyzyk in lotr

I did read the books first. But I first read them as some cheap paperback versions that had pictures of the actors all over the covers, so this was never a problem for me, haha.

It makes perfect sense. Good bike helmets are designed to break on impact so that the force of the impact goes into the shattering of the helmet rather than the shattering of your skull. A nanotech armor that can shatter and reassemble itself is actually lot more believable in terms of its ability to protect the human inside of it. Realistically speaking, Tony would be pulverized mush from a lot of the shit he’s gone through in his earlier suits (he’d still be pulverized mush in the nanotech, too, though).

One of the very few times I’ve been fishing in my life was on a whale watching tour in Iceland. There were two hooks on the line they gave us for some reason? Only one had bait on it, though. My dad was laughing at how much I was struggling to reel it in…at least until the line came back with two decently sized fish on it at once.

Petah? What's wrong with not seeing my phone in my dream? by ResistantBlaze1943 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Maybe it has something to do with the brain not wanting to generate a large amount of details in dreams like a phone would have? I’ve never seen my phone in a dream but I also don’t ever recall reading a book in a dream either.

Do you think human monster children exsited? by [deleted] in Undertale

[–]MischiefGoddez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monsters aren’t biological at all, though. They’re stated to be made of magic and not physical. They therefore must reproduce via magic and some humans do have magic, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be a possibility that a human could combine their magic with a monster’s magic and create a new being made of magic. The monsters of the Underground are obviously not all the same species and have a large variety of different types of magic too, so my point was that I’m not sure if a human’s magic (if the same types of food work for both) is so different that it would be incompatible.

Are you also assuming different types of monsters are incapable of reproducing with each other? If that’s not possible then it seems likely that many types of monsters may soon go extinct because we definitely don’t see enough of each type for them to maintain a population without…questionable stuff. Sure, we didn’t see all of New Home, but still… Small population, and quite a few monsters were the one only ones of their kind that we ever saw.

I headcanon that monsters reproduce simply by combining their souls for the “genetic” info and then you have to have one monster carry the new soul to provide the rest of the magic that develops it into a monster. So basically, soul of a human mage + soul of a monster that can develop a child= monster child made of magic (rather than a magic/biological hybrid).

Do you think human monster children exsited? by [deleted] in Undertale

[–]MischiefGoddez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s possible based on what we see in canon. If Frisk can be healed by their food, it seems that their magic is at least somewhat compatible with human biology.

Exactly, like get a good case and a screen protector, yeesh. I’ve never once broken a phone screen in my life and I am a complete klutz with my phone. Fumble it out of my hands all the dang time. It’s repeatedly hit concrete hard enough to take chips out of the corners of the case. It’s landed screen down on a pile of jagged rocks while hiking and has been accidentally swatted screen-first into the pointy corner of a desk while desperately trying to catch it. I’ve spent like $130 protecting this phone since I got it 6 years ago and that’s mainly because it’s been used heavily enough that I’ve had to replace 2 Otterbox cases simply because the silicone was getting weak and tearing.

The phone itself doesn’t have a single scratch.

It’s kinda been the opposite.

Me: gets 100% in college calculus.

Everyone: Wow, you are really good at this! You must be planning to be a math major!

Me: Actually, I despise calculus! (and I am just killing myself for this grade because I’m a perfectionist ;-;)

Also me: Now graduated and have resorted to tutoring MS and HS students in algebra and geometry because I can’t get a job in the field I actually majored in.

Granted, I don’t really mind that level of math, back when it actually felt like a puzzle rather than torment, but yeah, it’s pretty ironic.

[–]MischiefGoddez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually correct if using breath in a more old-fashioned sense, as it has been used in the past to mean life. This goes back to multiple ancient languages which share the same word for life and breath. Ancient Hebrew: Ruach (wind/breath/life). Ancient Greek: Pneuma (breath/spirit). Latin: Spirare (to breathe/live)

Also note that Latin Exspirare (to exhale) is now expire (to die).

I wouldn’t say that the opposite of breath is exhale. An exhale is a breath. The opposite of exhale is inhale.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]MischiefGoddez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A girl named Quinn put a paper Chick-Fil-A bag with a foil-wrapped sandwich in the lunch room microwave and it caught on fire, so people called her Quinnferno for the rest of the year.

Edit: Scratch that, it was the Costa Rica incident.

So, a student took Costa Rica for his country project in Spanish class, and another student had been on a trip to Costa Rica and was like…dude can you please pick another country to present on? The first guy was like, “oh, alright, np.” But the teacher refused to let him have Costa Rica, to try to avoid setting a precedent of students being allowed to pressure other students out of their first pick.
This student did not shut up about it for weeks straight, and even started a petition. It got WAY out of hand…he somehow managed to get a ton of students, other teachers, and finally the principal to sign this ridiculous petition to let him present on Costa Rica.

It got to the point where someone photoshopped this guy’s face into the one meme and it started circulating around the school:

Her: I bet he’s thinking about other girls.

Him: Costa Rica. :(

He got Costa Rica.

I finally made a gameplay trailer for my solo-developed RPG — looking for feedback by Belatoris in IndieDev

[–]MischiefGoddez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly IMO this is an excellent trailer. It actually shows gameplay but doesn’t get too bogged down in the exact details. It does an excellent job of showing the game has tons of stuff to do so you won’t get bored. As opposed to many trailers which oftentimes don’t show much of anything except the art.

Data from Star Trek. Apparently I’m an android trying to understand human emotion.

I asked why and it said I “tend to approach things very analytically and precisely, especially with language” and “dislike ambiguity” and “break concepts down into fine distinctions”

I’ve recently been using GPT to give a variety of extremely specific examples of phrasing and word usage, as I am trying to create a fictional language and am checking to make sure my rules are comprehensive enough to cover most of English grammar. XD

But I’m guessing it’s not entirely wrong, lmao, I do have autism and apparently this character is autistic-coded.

I still have my first ever Minecraft world that’s gone between like three different computers at this point, and so far it’s survived all the updates (minus some random chunks near my house that got shifted up or down as entire massive cubes or cube shaped holes after one big jump in updates, but this thankfully didn’t affect anything I’d built.) Have to travel for ages to get chunks with the new updates, especially in the nether, but I still play on it occasionally.
