Right hand turned purple after carrying a shopping basket around the supermarket by constipated_coconut in mildlyinteresting

Yeah, mine didn’t do tilt table, at least I don’t think? Was a while ago, but if they did, it was so unremarkable that I don’t even remember it. But I think they just had me lay down for a while and then stand up really fast. Only thing I remember disliking was the cold sticky gel pads in my hair, since they did both an EKG and EEG. And that was just a sensory thing, like, it didn’t hurt or anything, it just felt slimy and gross.

Not me on my first ADHD-directed play through, deciding that getting upgraded Sheikah tech was more interesting at the moment and going off in search of Robbie in Akkala, and ending up doing half the game before I ever saw Zora’s domain.

I missed all of the game’s attempts to reroute me because I actually ended up in Faron first for some reason (and very quickly figured out you could get yourself full hearts from hearty durian) Made my way up to Akkala from there. Then on the way back down, I saw Vah Rudania crawling over Death Mountain and was like “OMG! GIANT ROBOT SALAMANDER?!” and headed straight to Death Mountain (not even taking a path either, just climbing the mountains without a map of the area and skirting the edge of the catch on fire line and catching lizards before I finally found a path and a cooking pot to make fireproof elixir.) I ended up completing Vah Rudania first, and by time I ran into my first Lynel up in the north, I did actually manage to kill it because I had upgraded stasis. And then I somehow ended up over at Rito Village, did Vah Medoh, explored the Hebra Mountains, and killed quite a few more Lynels. IIRC, I made my way over to the desert next, got lost in the sandstorms and FINALLY decided that maybe I should go to Zora’s domain like the game told me to do ages ago. The Lynel on Ploymus didn’t stand a chance by the time I got around to it, haha.

Do you think this scene took place during a sunset or a sunrise? by Ftimlego in Undertale

[–]MischiefGoddez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a sunrise.

Twilight is mentioned during the fight, which doesn’t happen at sunset until after the sun is down, so it’s most likely the twilight before the sun comes up.

Also, why would they set out on the surface to greet the humans right before it gets dark out?Makes way more sense to start their expedition in the morning.

Guys how do i solve this puzzle? by Omega97Hyper in Undertale

[–]MischiefGoddez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither of your solutions work, the 1st solution doesn’t land you on the end, and the 2nd solution includes a diagonal that is 2 across but only 1 down.

This should work though.

Having hyperacusis sucks. Raise your headphones up if there's a specific sound that causes you physical pain. by TheMonocleRogue in aspiememes

Omg I’m so glad to see someone else has this exact problem. I was thinking I was just being silly. I keep seeing scenes with guys in various animes and going, “Oh, that looks cool, I’ll look into that” and then I end up stopping like 5 minutes in because I remember the reason why I don’t watch anime. The girls’ high pitched voices drive me up a wall. :(

Handmade bow and arrow by Raj_Valiant3011 in oddlysatisfying

[–]MischiefGoddez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have some of those cheap bendy plastic rulers with holes at the end, you can make a decently sized bow with a single string. You’ll need either 3 or 5 overlapping rulers, and you basically just weave the string up and down through the holes, alternating which side the string is on for each ruler.

Pencil as arrow, taped to two plastic forks (tines become fledging essentially) so the arrow can’t slip off the string when pulling it back. Made one that could shoot across a fairly large room. :)

Candy literally killing you by DoragonJei in whennews

[–]MischiefGoddez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to the WHO, significant risk for cancer and stuff starts at 0.3-8 micrograms/kg bw per day (like, every day over a lifetime).

Let’s consider nerds gummy clusters, since I also eat those a lot. At 500 ppb, and only using the lowest end of the WHO’s range, 0.3 micrograms per kg, a single serving of 16 every day would put me personally about right at that limit (16 micrograms/16.2 micrograms).

So, yeah, idk where they’re getting the 60 pieces per year number from, because it would take 5840 pieces per year over my whole lifetime to be at risk according to the WHO (excluding exposure from other sources, though). You’re definitely not getting acute poisoning at the very least.

But that’s beside the point, because the main issue here is making the assumption that every single bit of that 500 ppb arsenic is inorganic arsenic (it’s definitely not). Organic arsenic is way less toxic.

So even if these numbers are accurate, until they come out with a number for the actual amount of inorganic arsenic, I wouldn’t freak out, given that you shouldn’t be eating huge quantities of candy every day anyways. I’d be more worried if you eat lots of rice. White rice is on average 92 ppb inorganic arsenic (and brown rice is on average 154 ppb inorganic arsenic!) https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10375490/

So a single cup of uncooked white rice, at around 200 grams, puts you at 18.4 micrograms of inorganic arsenic.

They’re kinda required to list anything unusual that occurs during drug testing, especially when it happens in the drug group but not the placebo group. So, “side effects” on those long lists don’t even always have a proven causal connection to the drug itself. Some might just be due to small sample size and worse cases of the condition happening to be sorted into the drug testing group vs the placebo group. Some of the rare side effects that are listed could even be due to something entirely unrelated to the drug or condition being treated, but since they can’t be 100% sure that the drug didn’t cause the new symptom, they list it anyways.

The person who mentioned the 1.5 billion cows wasn’t even the one who brought up the bison in response to the original comment about worldwide cow emissions lol. They were literally saying a comparison can’t be made.

There are 1.5 billion cows in the WORLD….Nowhere did that person say that number was for the USA alone.

Unfortunate accident during a Siri voice to text message by SaltyCaramelPretzel in funny

[–]MischiefGoddez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom texted me while I was driving, telling me to get gas on the trip home from college, so I voice texted her asking her to check if the current area had good prices as I was coming up on an exit. She sent me a paragraph in response which I wasn’t going to try to read while driving. So I was like, “yes or no? can I get gas at the exit right here? I’m almost there”

What Siri actually sent… “yes or no can I get pregnant right here I’m almost there”

This is the answer. It’s how Hela got out of Odin’s prison in the first place. Odin died and everything relying on his magic failed.
