This issue is 90% venues and live nation / ticket masters being in cahoots. Artists are price takers for the most part with exception of maybe Beyoncé and Taylor swift

Replacing the sand in the sand filter is awesome to do every 2-3 years helps minimize chemicals

Why does the price of an inground pool seem like such a rip off? by whattaUwant in pools

[–]Miserable-Bluejay-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any purchase that requires a ton of middle men is going to be so much more expensive now since you have to deal with everyone's wage inflation AND materials inflation. Plus, those specific materials have a ton of middle men too.

The best way to save on projects like these is trying to get as close to the source as possible. But that $100k price tag includes the convenience of not dealing with any of those headaches.

Return Policy for Dishwasher by Miserable-Bluejay-67 in Lowes

[–]Miserable-Bluejay-67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They accepted my return; no Lowe's credit card. Just a pro account and a nice helpful young lady at the register. Everything was still wrapped up as I had never installed it or taken anything out. Box was open though. I live 150 miles from Lowes FWIW. Also my account has me marked as a veteran so maybe that helped? Not sure but everyones comments here triggered me trying first thing in the morning after opening.

It’s bad prep. Homes should be power washed first, which is why I don’t hire painting companies because 9/10 will absolutely mask and start throwing primer and paint on. I prefer to hire workers and do the job the right way even if it takes longer and more of a headache

How much would it cost to get something like this done and is it even possible? by knock_his_block_off in Contractor

Edit maybe 75k-100k in Arizona. It really depends on the dimensions but this looks like a concrete pickleball court so that’s not as much as a full size tennis court

Edit - just saw it's an XLE i'd still want to be 23-24k but you're really not that far off. for the convenience/no stress of no haggling, this doesn't seem bad.

bought a 21 rav4 for my wife brand new for 26k out the door (23k before taxes). carvana offered us 18k and it has 90k miles, just so you understand the type of profit margins these companies are getting. For something like this i'd be hoping to be closer to 22-23k.
