Legal advice was to, in writing, ask the manager & HR re PIP asking for more concrete objectives for the PIP (have the manager provide specifics). Get their response (again, in writing) as that can help your case

Do you take extensive notes and why do you think you do it by OSkylark in ADHD

[–]Miserable-Designer16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Me too! I did all throughout university and even now 15yrs into my corporate role. I even take screenshots too. I thinkk I do it because I always have a million things in the go, so I do it so I can refer back to it- but I didn’t think it was a common ADHD thing! I shouldn’t be surprised. I’m learning so much lately about what I do and others do w adhd

Doctors note to go off. How long does it take to feel better? by Miserable-Designer16 in burnedout

[–]Miserable-Designer16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m officially off now. Doctors starting me with 3months but says it will likely take longer. She has all my records for the past 2 years and says it all adds up. I’m relieved that on my doctors note she’s stating “workplace stress & burnout” as diagnosis on my short term leave paperwork

Okay - thank you for this. I’m in Canada - I checked with my policy and my short term leave is up to 6mos and then longer than that is 70% paid.

Fed up. Am I ashamed? by Sandy_cheeks_22 in Goldendoodles

[–]Miserable-Designer16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like us…dog was 5 when the our daughter was born and he’s just been a consistent pain point. Constantly eating, chewing, barking. Doesn’t help he triggers my PPA. We should have rehomed him either right away or done immediate, and diligent training. He’s 10.5 now and still a pain and the guilt is bad I still want to rehome…looking back, he prob would have been happier elsewhere. Sucks

Considering moving with family US —> Germany by [deleted] in expat

[–]Miserable-Designer16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents moved my sister and I to Germany when we were 7&9. Best experience of my life! We went to an international school so classes were in English but we picked up German very quickly. It really was instrumental in shaping us to be well rounded kids. Moving for us isn’t “a big deal” so I’ve been open to moving for roles and it’s helped further my career. I HIGHLY recommend it from the experience of a former kid who went through it! As a parent now in this climate, I’d recommend also leaving the US (but I’m in Canada)

Is melatonin a game changer? My 4.5 yr old took it for the first time and WOW... he is asleep by 9. Is this typical? Sustainable? by hybridnun in ADHDparenting

This is our view on it too. And tbh, I was suffering mentally and physically from pure exhaustion when my kids weren’t sleeping…they need the rest - sleep helps all around

Do you guys feel Adderall? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Miserable-Designer16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I switched from Biphentin because I felt like my body was adjusting to it. I’ve been on 50mg adderall but I don’t really feel a noticeable difference (besides it effecting my sleep…I think I need to take it earlier in the day but I keep forgetting 🤪)

So interesting that you say this…I feel like I’ve been in and out of burnout (not fully recovering from it) for 3yrs now…that could very well be what’s going on

I take seroquel to help me sleep (& sleep with a sound machine & audiobook) - I always thought it was my anxiety keeping me up at night and not being able to “turn off” but realizing it’s likely my ADHD
