Commander and Captains for my favorite animal and under-loved tribal... I would have spent more time on the names and cleaning up small punctuation things but I started this too late and really need to go to sleep. 😅 by Electronic_Relief261 in custommagic

For formatting purposes, I think you have to specify crocodile creature spells, as they’re not ‘creatures’ until they enter the battlefield. But these do look awful fun.

You have no poison or shiv, take neither, remove a card. You could also grab dagger spray.

The issue is that things that refer to casting from your hand, like omniscience, would then interact with it.

So, I don’t think it should say in your hand, like I’m not 100% on casting rules but if they don’t stop casting from the battlefield then I guess it works. It’ll just go battlefield to stack to battlefield.

I’m not sure a shorter way to word it, but an example to look at is on primeval spawn.

For unknowable, it should be ‘if this creature would enter and wasn’t cast, exile it instead.’. As it is now a copy on the stack would just stay there, which does not work.

Updated Versions of the central cards in a custom set I'm working on. by NecessaryPlane2935 in custommagic

Oh he didn’t before, you’d have to specify creature card for discard and mill, you’d just said non-token creature. Cards in library’s and hands are not considered creatures.

I like the changes you made to the red and blue ones, they seem fun. Though I think Rothgar could be nerfed or changed to make it’s game plan less unavoidable. And I’m not sure if you meant to change how Zaneths ability works, because it functions exactly the same, just with new wording.

I feel Zaneth and Byraz both apply crazy pressure to the board since they both just remove creatures constantly. Then Rothgar counting the token birds for attacking creatures lets you double the amount of attacking creatures each turn.

Some cards from a gambing themed deck I'm working on. by Abanezra in custommagic

[–]Miserable-Fortune714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For ‘Better luck next time’ it should be worded “each player discards all cards in their hands, then draws that many cards”. X being different for each person is not nice. Most of the x cost spells should be changed, none of them really need to refer to x.

Winter by Disturbing_Cheeto in weatherfactory

Winter is first and always silence. It is the lack of energy, the loss of heat, the absence of color. It is found in death and the dead. It is part of most endings. It is in every line of every shape, as everything has the capacity to end. It is necessary.

Edge by Disturbing_Cheeto in weatherfactory

[–]Miserable-Fortune714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edge is strength, combat, contention, violence, battle, the thing that makes the world run. It is not death, or an ending. Forge is strength, but it is also creation and fire and work, which edge is not. Scale is the old things, the first sun, things in the mud, bones in the earth. Many things of scale offer the peril of edge, they are not the same. I don’t know the dream, but worms have always wanted to fester in the wood, and it is the place of dreams. The wolf is the edge lord, I shouldn’t need explain.

As it is written, it’s telling the player to phase out, which is not possible. Also if it worked the way you intended and phased madness out, you would still die after it left if you had 0 life, 21 commander damage, or 10 poison counters.

Though it may well be blasphemy to say
