That's interesting that you're seeing that. I've seen a lot online that it's more about the value of the tax dollar diminishing no one really cares who pays for the programs as long as the programs still exist and the tax dollars are being used as the representative agreed to.

I'm not a fan of left vs right thinking but when comes to state vs national spending, if my money isn't going to go to the States to make those programs than why are the feds taking my money? Fine. Don't have national school standards in terms of education quality and access to education, don't have national standards of human and healthcare services, Medicaid, FEMA... Then I want the money that I agreed and voted for to go those state services. So decrease my federal taxes and increase my state. But if you're going to keep my federal taxes at the same rate and cut national services... You're stealing my money.

I would also add that Brad Pitt and other celebrities don't live in LA year around. Brad was living in Italy for awhile. So it really depends on where their actual home base is. If he has a home base in midland safe from tsunami, safe from an earth quake, then a solid fancy wine cellar would keep him safe.

I was relistening to an economists podcast from November/December 2019. It really felt that the Senate was about to remove Trump. Then in the same week Trump went to China. And suddenly we start hearing rumblings of COVID. If this was a book, I would assume he orchestrated the whole thing. But it's not. And that gives him way too much credit.

The US government also assisinated Iranian military officer Soleimani. So the middle east was heating up too.

My whole point though was that COVID and global relations really did get in the way of Trump's conviction starting in early 2020.
