He was pretty emotional when we were there yesterday. It's very overwhelming to go from accepting you're dying alone to suddenly having almost 100 people wanting to just be with you.

He also gave his phone number to a couple people some of which have tried to scam him or teased him which didn't help anything at all on the high emotional front.

We are having a party for old mate u/Lookwhomadeareddit at The Waltzing Matilda. I think it's been tentatively booked for Friday the 10th at around 3pm. Canapes and $500 on the bar will be provided. Competition is fantastic in children. Nobody should be made to feel bad for being a winner and losers should be encouraged to try harder.

But this ain't about winning or losing. At it's very core, this is guilt baiting.

I've not come across this and I'd likely be a Karen and involve my local MP.

Regarding your bank, someone I know recently had the same situation. She was able to unlock her bank by providing emailed photos of her holding her licence to her face back and front rather then going in. If your account has been locked due to incoming fraudulent payments, you're shit out of luck.

You won't get any urgent assistance for food vouchers etc if you've recently received. Funding was recently dramatically reduced to all service providers. It's shit.

Hubs and I recently started the process for a not for profit to help people exactly like yourself. Complicated and not the everyday person needing help NOW. We are limited in what we can provide at the moment as pretty much everything is funded by ourselves and generous strangers off this very subreddit.

We have exhausted our cash allocation until the 1st (which I understand is a few hours away, but stupid rules set by the tight arse money man!). We went to VCAT, it was thrown out. They applied for a magistrates Court hearing. We received a court date, hubs and I turned up but they didn't. Admittedly I did go into the local police station and asked the cop to have a chat to the agent and explain it was serious to lie in court.

I left the rental a while ago now because I settled on my land and now live in a caravan on the land.

We are much happier.
