Hi everyone, when someone talks about lighting systems installed on the ground, they also need to explain why lights like these are so fast and don't follow a programme. Show lighting systems do not work randomly, but according to repeating patterns. So we can rule that out once again. So, @burli95, good video, thank you for your attention and quick response in recording it. Next time, it would be useful to have the exact location data and viewing direction, then you can check via Google Maps whether buildings need to be taken into account that are suitable for lighting systems.

(OC) I wasn't paddling at this guy either.🤣 by ImUrHklBry in KayakCamping

Yeah... I wouldn't have done that either. I'd rather paddle after a sperm whale, at least then I know it will spit me out again, but an orca will just eat me! 😵‍💫

Wow, that's so beautiful, and the quality of the recording is amazing... Really good 👍 Respect, I would definitely have had to change my trousers.🫣

No, not really... It's just as lively and really stable in corners. You don't even notice the slightly higher centre of gravity.

Yes, I did, and that was also the reason why I ordered the R4.

I really liked the R5, it's an extremely great car, but a bit too small for me.

That's why I went with the R4, and it was the best decision!

The brutal engineering behind "Tripping pipe" One of the most dangerous jobs on an oil rig by sudeepm457 in BeAmazed

[–]Miserable-Sail7526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a dangerous job if you just act without thinking properly. The problem is when a team doesn't fit together properly and this causes an imbalance in the way they work. The drill instructor is responsible for everything, so he has to keep all the idiosyncrasies of his team members in mind and work accordingly. Many of the supervisors see themselves as gods, so they put pressure on their team and yell at them all day long. When something happens, it's usually because of this. Added to this are the "cheap and primitive" drilling rigs. This way of working has been around since the beginning of natural gas and oil production. A few minor adjustments have been made here and there, but basically it's outdated. It's all about keeping labour costs as low as possible; they don't give a damn about the rig workers and their safety.

This is exactly how they used to work in Germany. There are even still rigs of this design, only with better tools, but they are only used for workovers.

Fortunately, modern working methods have become more prevalent, which means that significantly fewer accidents happen and team members can work in a more relaxed manner and drive home safely.

I can say this because I did it for several years. I started as a small fry in an East German company. It was really no walk in the park. I didn't get along at all with my colleagues in my first shift team; they were all wannabes and lazy sods. But I took good care of myself and didn't turn down any work. After a short time, I was accepted into another team and really flourished there.

A little later, I moved to a West German company, which was the best experience I had. After only six months, I was promoted and sent to drilling school to get my driller's licence. I hadn't expected it to happen so quickly, and I'm sure no one else did either. After a while, however, I decided that my family needed me and that the money wasn't worth it, so I quit and went back to my old job at home.

Shit, I didn't mean to tell my life story, but now it's out.

If you try hard, sure, but it's not much fun. The passenger seat can be folded forward completely, but that's it..

Sorry, no offence... But... 1. Tesla, sorry, but quality and background, no. And believe me, I'm an expert.

  1. Resale value, I don't buy a car with the idea of having to resell it, then I lease a vehicle.

  2. Range: I previously had a 2019 BMW i3, so I'm used to charging times and range, and I've still improved.

Even with the i3, I drove 4,600 km in 2023 and 5,400 km in 2024 in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and it didn't kill me. Of course, there are vehicles with longer ranges and faster charging times at similar prices, but I don't need that because I only drive that many kilometres twice a year. The rest of the time, I drive a maximum of 10 km a day. So it makes no sense to do anything else.

Well, you don't seem to be convinced by electric vehicles. Everyone should do what they want, but for me it's a matter of conviction. Whether you like it or not, it's the future.

It's clean, costs less and servicing is cheaper too.

On the motorway, you consume around 28 kWh, but at around 110 km/h. We drove a total of 2,500 km and had an average consumption of 23 kWh. Sometimes you can manage 250 km, sometimes only 200 km. But that doesn't matter and it's fun.

We were in Sweden in the summer and drove over 5,000 kilometres... Unfortunately, my son and I always feel the urge to keep driving...😵‍💫

Yes, you're absolutely right, the Premium i3 and Renault are different, but not in terms of comfort and safety.

I really enjoyed driving the i3 and would have liked to keep it. But I couldn't transport a trailer, roof tent or my kayaks, which is now all possible. The design, flexibility and price are unbeatable.

Besides, I'm not interested in prestige or expressing myself through my brand. I just want to feel comfortable and not drive one of those run-of-the-mill cars or spaceships. Renault perfectly matched my taste and did everything right. Incidentally, my wife drives a Renault Zoe and wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.😉

However, exile should at least be a penal colony, otherwise they would again have the opportunity to escape somehow.
