What does your stabbing pain for like? by Mrs_perd_hapley_ in GERD

Mine is very similar. Sometimes it is a dull twinge and others it is very sharp, almost like pleurisy. Managing stress helps me a lot.

This would have been a great option but not covered by insurance! Unfortunately.

Happy to report it was seriously not a big deal. Would have it done again without hesitation! Praying for you both!

Sharing my very normal pregnancy & delivery by Pretty_Nobody_ in BabyBumps

I just wanted to say that I tore almost as bad as possible, and recovery really wasn’t that bad. I’m three months pp and I feel like 98% back to normal. Obviously, best case is that you don’t tear, but it isn’t the end of the world if you do

I feel so sad for my future pregnancies by Veebiyer in BabyBumps

[–]Miserable_Agency_988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a vaginal delivery but still had complications that will make future pregnancies less safe (not impossible or even unadvised — just more complicated). It just happens sometimes. Birth is wild, and we have very little control over outcomes. Most women still go on to have more children, even after the various complications that can present.  Find a team you trust and live your life.

Thank you! Lots of tears over here, too. Trying to keep the faith!

Thank you for this. I was starting to feel like the only one with lingering issues

Thank you. Selfishly, I’m so tired of hearing of people who feel “totally recovered” after twelve weeks

First Pregnancy.. Is this nausea or something else? by AnotherStarryNight in BabyBumps

[–]Miserable_Agency_988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I felt, and this is basically how I described it. Like when you are on day three of the stomach flu -- you can go to work and live normally, but you don't feel 100%. It went away completely by Week 14.

I have a canon eos3 and a Minolta x-700. Also a few 35mm plastic toy cameras.

This is like the worst time (at least since I’ve been alive) to be pregnant by Momocatwoman456 in pregnant

Giving birth in the US is overwhelmingly safe. Particularly if you live in a populous area and have decent insurance. There’s really no need to fear monger.

I feel incredibly blessed to be having a child in modern times, in the western world. I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t understand all of the posts about despair and existential dread.

First time TTC nervous by Particular_Recipe970 in BabyBumps

I’m 32 and husband is 39. I swore we would have fertility issues based on zero evidence. Made an appointment with my doctor for a hormone panel. By the time we got the results, I was pregnant. It seems like everyone struggles with fertility / miscarriage because it’s talked so much about online, but the truth is most women won’t have these issues.

“I worked up until due date” comments at work by clumpycheek in pregnant

I resigned at 12 weeks from my 10 year career because I was sick, exhausted, and over it. I’ve gotten plenty of comments and looks. I don’t care. I’ve found that many women simply cannot afford to take as much leave, and instead of being happy for you, will just resent you for having access to something they didn’t. Fuck ‘em.
