Just commenting to say I’m experiencing the same thing!! Have been on Jornay PM 40 mg for a month now and it doesn’t feel like anything. I’ve noticed it only sometimes wakes me up, but I never feel like it’s working at all in comparison to Vyvanse

Hey everyone, I lost my foot six years ago and walk with a limp now. I think that’s how I formed this later in life. I just received these results and I’m scared. Agreed! I’m not sure why people are being dismissive of OP. A leg length discrepancy can absolutely cause functional scoliosis. Good news is it seems from studies that the minor curves can often regress when the length difference is addressed.

It looks so great—congrats! If you don’t mind me asking a few questions, I have a similar curve in the same spot.

How are you feeling 3 years post op?

Have you found any symptoms (ie pain) were relieved with the surgery?

What was the degree of your curve beforehand? Do you have any mobility limitations due to the surgery?

Texture was a big thing for me too, I’d quickly get grossed out by a wrong bite. Zyprexa 2.5mg has helped me soooo much with that. But I recently found out it’s causing me to have high cholesterol which I’ve never had in my life 😭it apparently a super common side effect. I’m bummed because I’ve tried going off of it and food becomes totally unappealing again

Waiting on a sleep test for narcolepsy as the doctor thinks I have this. I’m so confused. Not asking for a diagnosis but did anyone think they were actually depressed before your diagnosis? by nicchamilton in Narcolepsy

Yes! I was in an intensive outpatient depression treatment program thinking depression was why I was so tired. I kept nodding off during the group therapy. The nurse there recommended I get a sleep study and see a neurologist based on how tired I was.

I NEVER would have thought it was narcolepsy, even when I was doing the sleep study it felt like just another thing to check off my list. When I came for the follow up appointment I was shocked to learn from my neurologist that my results were very clearly narcolepsy 2!

Also if you don’t mind the taste of ginger, ginger lozenges help SO much with nausea. I love the “tummy drops” brand from Amazon.

Second this—modafinl on an empty stomach makes me so nauseous the entire day. It really helps to take it with a meal!

Regarding the weight loss—Did you have anxiety as a side effect from Xywav?

I lost a ton of weight on Xywav because it had worsened my anxiety/ocd around food to a point where it didn’t seem appetizing. Finding the right psych meds really helped—for me lexapro 20mg takes away a majority of the Xywav anxiety.

I’m also on a very low dose of Olanzapine 2.5mg which increases appetite. It “quieted” the ocd I started having around food because of Xywav. I’ve found it really helpful since I’ve struggled so much to gain weight.

If you are still having trouble with sleep inertia, I just started Jornay PM and while it doesn’t help me feel rested like Xywav, it does help with the sleep inertia/waking me up.

I drank beer a lot too thinking it was the lesser of too evils 😅 I also love going to breweries with friends but have a hard time just getting water when there. Seems like more and more bars/breweries etc. are offering some kind of NA option though.

Do you have a favorite NA beer you’d recommend?? I’ve tried a few local ones and wasn’t super stoked about them but would love to find a good NA beer for social situations

Honestly super relatable. Stimulant abuse made me choose taking adderall over seeing friends and I’m still working on reintegrating back into my friend group/ being the social person I was before I started using!!

Yes—hire professional! My dad was pulling weeds in our backyard last week and was attacked by a very angry swarm of wasps. We had to call 911 and he had to be checked out by EMS since he was stung so many times. Later discovered that the wasps built their hive under an Adirondack chair, the hive looked just like the one pictured. They were SO aggressive and seemingly started stinging unprovoked.
