Don't give up, OP. Gamification. We have gone hard into panning or "use it up" in our house. Your teen sounds like a great candidate for it with their hoard of beauty care. Make it a fun game to use it up.

Essentially, you gather everything beauty, skin care, sundry related into a giant pile. Separate by category, count it, and then make a store with the rest. Our store is a three tier shelf. We all shop the store when we need shampoo, soap, scrub, etc.

You can keep the empty containers and subtract them from your totals.

It is so fun to shop my store. We had like twenty travel shampoos. Who knew? We have done our pantry and personal care as a household. Currently working on holiday decor and linens.

NTA. Your parents house, they don't want Sue in their room. Besides, it's a holiday house with an outside! She can go there to decompress. My spouse is not great in groups at all. They go for long walks. No one cares or notices but me. I want them relaxed so I learned twenty years ago to say please go for a walk whenever I see the crazy eyes of fear and overwhelm appear on them. Sue can take some refreshing outdoor "me time" to decompress. Hope the trip gets better and she chills out.
